College is where a lot of people hope to find themselves and explore avenues of interest with their majors. There are some degrees that fare better than others in the job market, some more obviously than others.
Bankrate published an article outlining most recently, the most and least valuable degrees.
Naval architecture and marine engineering takes the top spot on the list of most valuable college majors, according to a Bankrate study of 162 degrees. Drama and theater arts, on the other hand, is the least valuable, at least in terms of making a living after graduation.
Do you disagree with their findings? Does your degree really matter when breaking into the workforce? Any other thoughts?

For some of those limited supply, largely-government-driven demand type jobs (like the marine type stuff), yes...you need that and you make shitpots of money with them. They aren't for everyone, though.
Me? I've got my biology and biomedical engineering bachelors to go with my MBA whilst working in Healthcare CD/FPA.
Finance probably has the highest earnings ceiling. I think accounting is the most useful for business - a CPA should be able to easily grasp financial principles if they have any creativity. Engineering has gotten way over-saturated with foreign workers. and programming/software development does not need a formal degree.
