LinkedIn & Other Networking Resources Required
Hi All,
As the title suggests - looking for some tips and guides for both setting up a linkedin profile and networking.
Better late than never, I have recently passed the CFA Level III exam and came to the realisation that nothing is going to change after passing if nobody knows I exist.
Any tips and resources would be greatly appreciated - apologies if I've doubled up on an existing thread.
I find it so interesting that you passed level 3 and never setup LinkedIn.
Time got ahead of me and I'm not the type that actively looks for jobs unless I intend to move. Definitely have to mind shift towards maintaining an active presence outside of when I want to move jobs.
Networking activity, in a job and out got me 3 offers in 2 weeks when I got let go. It pays to play.
Bump - I hope someone can point me in the right direction
Best advice I can give is look at the LinkedIn pages for few different people you know who are working professionals in the industry you are trying to get into for structure and content as some sort of template. LinkedIn is essentially a snapshot of your resume at a higher level (or for some people, it actually is the full resume)
In terms of networking, use WSO and M&I guides once your LinkedIn profile is set up (should not take you too long to do so).
