UBS Sophomore Analyst 2021
Received an offer from UBS for their sophomore IBD analyst program next summer. I haven’t yet applied to sophomore programs at other banks, and I was wondering whether UBS is worth just accepting? The decision deadline is the end of June but could I ask them to extend?

Just take it, sophomore BB offers are rare and limited. Citi and Barclays don't even have sophomore IB summer interns.
Go with UBS and recruit for other BB/EB for junior year. Even if you stay at UBS, there's 1-2 groups that compete with other BB.

Citi has the sophomore leadership program, which is rotational (including IB) and a great way to get your foot in at the company.
No longer rotational for summer 2021 - able to choose track in application process and then interview with division

Do you have traction at other banks?
Have some connections to a top BB with a sophomore program but not sure if I should roll the dice...
If they aren't personal connections then I wouldn't take that chance
Yes, take it. Sophomore IB SA at a BB this summer and can say that it's extremely tough to get as a sophomore considering the limited spots. Do not take the risk to go for more known banks because nothing is guaranteed. Even if you have a sophomore offer at DB or WFS, it is still very impressive and can set you up very well for junior recruiting if you choose to do so.
