Consulting vs Goog

I recently received offers from Deloitte strategy consulting group and E&Y's performance and improvement group (comparable to Deloitte S&O)... however I also am interviewing for a financial analyst position at google...

Ideally I would like to go back to business school to go MBB or VC in the future... what do you guys think is the best stepping stone for b school and MBB/VC?

Dont think a financial analyst position at google carries the same weight as one of their project positions do, which in that case would be def google.

However, if the google position is at their HQ I would go there, looks like a sweet place to work.

Dude, wtf? Google is the most solid brand name one can have on a résumé, all-around. You're not even likely to get the position. It's not just software engineers who must have stellar credentials there.

First a disclaimer: I, nor anyone here, has a crystal ball as to how to get in MBB.

IMO you should: Doilette S&O->Top MBA/PhD->MBB

MBB (especially McKinsey) seem to want expertise in non-entry level candidates. So if you do GOOG, stay with it, get an advanced degree in corp. fin., and try to get in a MBB group that specializes in corporate finance.

(Side note: If anyone has a crystal ball as to how to get into MBB, please promptly message me.)

My guess he's probably made his choice in the 2.5 years since he posted that question.
