Hour 6

Peugeot and Audi swap spots for lead lap. No. 3 Audi of Allan McNish had a horrible collision with a GTE Am Ferrari near Dunlop in the first hour rolling the Audi multiple times; thus putting Audi's flagship trio out of the race. Allan luckily walked away from the crash and seems to be in fine condition. Peugeot slightly looks like the stronger team for the race so far... but that could change in no time.

Both factory Aston Martins also had early retirements... not that they were serious contenders in the first place but they were dark horses nonetheless for the petrol powered cars.

Pescarolo is hanging in there behind the two big factory teams of Audi and Peugeot.

Your Uncle's 1966 Chevelle had a gearbox malfunction on the first corner of the first lap. The team did not come prepared with a second gearbox and are bartering with the Corvette team for another. The car rests in the pit box awaiting a gearbox replacement while the mechanics and engineers sit around drinking Miller Lite and playing Texas hold'em.

In 1976, James Hunt broke the sound barrier through Eau Rouge only to retire before the event finished... following the race he had sex with three Belgian nurses at the clubhouse near La Source.

Jorgé:
What's your team?

I don't really have one; well... I'll sort of cheer for Porsche since it's Le Mans. Other than that, I'm just content to see a good race. It would be nice to see a petrol powered car win again... these Peugeot's and Audi's have really put the privateers out of contention.

Hour 14

Mike Rockenfeller's Audi has a hard crash at night. His car is burned to the ground and he is rushed to the hospital. It's reported that he is awake and talking.

Peugeot is looking stronger with three cars and Audi with one but the gap is still tight as the four diesel powered machines are still on the lead lap.

Yeah, same here man, Le Mans wont be Le Mans if Porsche wasn't around. Voted for Peugeot though.

People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis, you can't trust people Jeremy

Such a close margin of victory... 14 seconds. Olivier Quesnel must be gutted right now; that's a hard loss considering that the only Audi in contention was the third stringer car. Excellent drives by Marcel Fässler, André Lotterer and Benoît Tréluyer for a maiden win for all three.
