Consulting -> Non-traditional MBA -> Deal team
Former T2 management/strategy consultant currently doing PE Ops consulting at a small boutique. Dipped my toes into a small deal execution project (helped build out LBO model, pitch deck, managed data room, and supported DD process) once by chance and really liked it and want to pivot to PE/VC deal...
Shot myself in the foot?
Accepted an offer from a lower tier Bulge Bracket after a summer stint. Location was India, so it is MO, not FO. Took a hard look at what I want to do in life recently, and decided I would like to go for a top MBA program a few years down the line. Looked it up and it seems accepting a MO job is a...
PRINCETON OR UCHICAGO (HF/VC UNDERGRAD)???
I've just been taken off the Princeton undergrad waitlist, I've already committed to UChicago but it is not too late to switch. Out of Princeton and UChicago, which school is stronger for HF out of undergrad? Considering many things such as education, network, alumni connection, job placement, and...
Yale, UChicago, Brown, or Dartmouth?! Skipping IB straight to HF/VC
I've been accepted to the above schools. Some of the discussions have a consensus that Yale through connection opportunities outweigh the other schools for HF/VC opportunities out of undergrad even though UChicago and Dartmouth have a large finance placement. Brown has a large consulting placement...

Booth vs CBS for IB
Both are doubtlessly good places to enter the IB industry & I have the most recent employment report numbers below containing all identified bank names. Booth report shows names of companies that hired more than 3 people, CBS shows names of companies that hired more than 2. Full-time class size at...

Chicago Booth vs. London Business School
Hi, I will be commencing a Full Time MBA this fall and am considering my options: Booth, Kellogg, Columbia, London Business School, and a couple of other slightly lower ranked schools. I am a finance candidate, but not from a traditional banking/ PE / HF background. I will be returning to finance...
Booth vs. Tuck vs. Wharton for MBB (short-term in US/long-term in Asia Pac)
Dear all, I've been reading lots of posts from this forum on bschools and found extremely helpful insights on individual schools. However, given my particular situation can you please help me understand more about each program with regards to MBB? I know it's a weird choice to have at this moment...
3 Year F50 CorpFin Intern, Enough for Booth?
First want to thank everyone for taking the time to answer my questions and for providing great insight on WSO . I’ve been an active reader for the past few months but haven’t really posted much, so here goes the first post. To cut to the chase, my question is in regards to when to pursue my MBA...

Booth vs. CBS for Tech IB in SF (apologies for the repeat, very specific non-ranking question)
Hi All, I know this topic has been discussed exhaustively and I have read all the feedback (including the recent one that extended to 5 pages). I have a very specific question that is unrelated to rankings. I have posted this on gmatclub as well: I'm lucky to have been accepted into both programs....
Kellogg or Booth PTMBA
Hi All, I know this topic has been discussed before but I'd like to get some feedback. I've been lurking this site for years and have always found it helpful. I'm trying to decide between the Part-Time MBA programs at Northwestern Kellogg and Chicago Booth. I've been accepted to both and my empolyer...
Princeton MFin plus Booth MBA
Would it be considered at all useful to pursue both a MFin from Princeton and a Booth MBA , with a concentration in Analytic Finance. Let's say if you're getting set to graduate from Booth and you begin to realize that most of the elite quantitative jobs on Wall Street don't really recruit MBAs ,...
Booth or Kellogg MBA for Real Estate
Wondering if anyone has an opinion/insights into Booth vs Kellogg for MBA with an interest to go into real estate. Interested in quality of RE education, emphasis of teaching (I.e. Finance/Development), networking/recruiting within Chicago and outside of Midwest. Noticed that Kellogg offers it as...
Summer After Senior Year of College?
Hello. Although I am only a rising sophomore, I have already begun to think of the future. My questions are: 1. What do people typically do the summer after their senior year of college? I am aware that most people graduate with a job offer and I imagine they start working in fall, so what do they...
Columbia vs Chicago MBA (Booth)
Open question as I am in the process of selecting/evaluation possible MBA schools. What are the direct pro's&con's when comparing the University of Chicago (Booth) MBA to Columbia. My first impression is that Chicago tends to be ranked slightly higher in terms of academics, yet I have heard that...

Booth MBA worth it?
so I see several UC Booth MBA's grads 2 years older on linked in are trapped at equity analyst level at morningstar. Crosslink with glassdoor I see they are making less than 6 figures. Is that a splash of cold water for MBAs? I nearly laughed when UC booth openly said it would be 90k a year like it...
