Pre MBA: Non traditional -> Post MBA: HF/PE/VC/IBD/MC
Hi All, I know this topic has been discussed in a similar dynamic but my difference is the more non-traditional background. I'll be attending an M7 school this fall, not HSW. I have a consumer goods background in brand management. However post MBA I'm curious to make that switch to either HF / PE /...

off-campus recruiting for MBA
Hello, I'm a new first-year MBA in a decent school, and I have been trying to do some more as an early-career MBA student. GMAT for lawyer making transition to consulting/IB/corporate gig? Other tips for law --> biz??
I have read a lot of forum posts saying that it is a hell of an experience for a junior lawyer 2-3 years out of law school to suffer through 2 years of an MBA just to become a junior consultant/banker all over again. However, even if a lawyer doesn't end up pursuing an MBA , can a great gmat score...
MBB GPA Drop
So just got my semester final grades back. I accepted an offer for a BA/A/AC role this fall after receiving the offer. A lot of my time was spent focusing on the interviews. My GPA was already on the low end before I got the offer (3.5ish) and has now dropped to the low 3.4s. Should I be concerned?

What’s the industry endgame for consulting?
Longtime reader, new poster. While a fair amount of consultants may aspire to work in PE or go off and start their own business, I’m curious about those that plan to transition to client-side roles in strategy groups and what the long-term play is for this cohort. I’m sure there’s a subset of...

KPMG Advisory 2016 Bonus Debacle
It is no secret management consulting --especially in the financial services--has had a bad year. KPMG , however, set aggressive goals (~16% top line AND bottom line growth. Just let that sink in for a company that size/age and its competitors/market) and missed--obviously. The firm had a...

Currently in consulting and trying to weigh a few options I have for my next engagement. CC=> State School=> MSF=> Consulting
Spent 2 years at a CC then transferred to a non-target state school. Graduated from the CC with 3.6/3.7 (would've been 3.8 but got a bad grade in one class after being too focused on ec's) and I expect to graduate from the state school with a similar GPA with a degree in Accounting. Due to going to...
