Hey guys, long-time member and current PE associate. I matched with a girl on Tinder one night and we started messaging. Somehow, the conversation turned into an argument over stupid shit. In my drunkenness and anger, I replied calling her a fat*** and made a joke that she looked like she put on the COVID-30 / I would sign her up for Jenny Craig. She replied with a long message how she was outraged I would dare say this in 2021 and that she would be screenshotting this and sending this to my employer. Note: I only have high-level info in my Tinder bio - first name, age, "Private Equity"

To all the finance professionals out there, I'm curious to know: Did you notice any changes with your dating & social life once you started earning good money and working long hours? How did it affect your confidence, lifestyle, and relationships? What about friends? What shocked you the most compared to college?

As I seek out more trading opportunities, I also seek out dating someone. But most people I meet with on Tinder, Bumble, and all the others seem to offer lower quality mediocre people. I will be transferring to New York in less than a year and I wonder if it is even worth the time to seek out a partner. After working 12-14 hours a day it is hard for the common people to understand why I work outside of the market hours. It is that lack of understanding that repulses me from these people. No ambitions, no goals, they are okay with being average, yet when they meet me, I get the classic message

Well, I have been thinking. We were all required to stay in our homes and are still expected to adhere to social distancing. But dating requires some form of intimacy. How the fuck will this work out? How will we actually date people?

What are your company's policies on dating co-workers? Does it still happen even if it's against company policy, and is it worth the risk to ask out the cute analyst? Asking for a friend. ![Jim and Pam][Jim and Pam] [Jim and Pam]: https://frostedlightly.files.wordpress.com/2011/0…

Given their busy schedules, in your personal experience or experience of friends, who do they usually date and who do they usually end up with? Do they typically go for other bankers/consultants, marketing, sales, artsy types, doctors, lawyers, trades people etc?

For all those that are busy and dont have time to go out, where do you meet girls? I hardly ever time to go out and my logistics are also bad for going out so I have been cold approaching girls a lot during the day. I used to think the night club was the only decent place to meet girls but now I feel that the best time and place is during the day hitting on girls that work on the makeup counter in department stores. These girls are ridiculously hot. How many of you do cold approach? And where do you do cold approach?

Hi all - I'm new here. Stumbled upon this site and I'm here for some advice (as a girl...though this might be a bad idea lol) I guess my question is for all those bankers out here, am I supposed to continue making the effort or from your perspective, because of your job, most of you are not interested in pursuing anything at all and find it annoying if some girl is reaching out to you a a couple times a week. I'm new to this and I just can't seem to gage how some bankers try to navigate dating (if at all lol).

A few nights ago, I stumbled upon a blog where a guy claims that sleeping with ugly girls is a better option than focusing on the hottest ones. The site was http://www.animusempire.com/do-ugly-girls/. I suppose he has some great points. Getting sex from less attractive girls may be less of a hassle, you get more sex and deal with much less vanity and ego of the 10's. Plus, does your penis know the difference? He makes one think about it from a granular level where I can see where he's coming from. If you've ever spent too much energy going after the princess who turns out to be too much of a

Is there a tinder for Wall Street people/finance types? Because if not, I'm seeing a market opportunity here. I'm envisioning something along the lines of a cross between LinkedIn and Tinder- like, if I'm going to date someone, I would do so solely based off their resume anyway. My issues with tinder is 1. that it doesn't have a function to upload resumes or cover letters (how fun would dating cover letters be!) and 2. EWW outsiders (rolls eyes). My issue with LinkedIn is that it's not dating focused. I mean, last time I slide in that GS investment banker's dm's on LinkedIn it did NOT go well

You make it clear you are interested in getting to know a girl more and you invite her lunch. She says she is busy that day and that whole week so we should reschedule. I invite her out to coffee and she accepts but she brings her friend along without telling me beforehand. What would you do? I called her out on her bullshit and now she is angry at me and lies about having a bf. Is all hope with this girl gone?

How can I talk sense into this guy? We're in the same class, and recently he met a married woman who is a first-year. She has only been out of college for a few years and got married last summer. He met her through a student club and has managed to spend time with her as a result. My friend is insanely attracted to her physically, going so far as to say that she's the most beautiful woman he has seen in the last several years. Aside from that, he genuinely finds her fascinating, smart, and nice. The crush is becoming unbearable for my friend, so I told him in no uncertain terms that he needs

So I had braces when I was a Freshman in high school until my junior year but I later lost my retainer on a vacation and my teeth have since shifted. I am now, at the ripe age of 25, considering getting them again. I am an otherwise very attractive woman (it's true). I considered Invisalign but there is an opportunity for cavities. Honestly, what are your thoughts on an analyst having those "clear" metal braces? Do you think it will really tarnish my image? Will I be a distraction to others? My teeth are okay but not perfect. Thank you.

So I met this Turkish girl who is super hot and super rich (pretty rich--family is probably worth $~25 MM) and really well educated (she's a secular, non-practicing Muslim). We're sort of dating now, but she's moving back to Istanbul at the end of this year. Does anyone have any insights into dating internationally? Any insights into dating a Turk?

The days of college over. A college campus in Southern California was the best place to be in August/September. Blonde girls walked around with almost nothing on, with those oversize sunglasses, talking about which sorority they were going to join. Over those four years, I have gone on some dates that were just fails from the start. I put together a list (definitely not all-inclusive) of some of the types of girls you will go on a failed date with. Hope you guys can relate or get a laugh. Feel free to add any that you've experienced. This may be a long one. 1. The Vegan/Vegetarian or Some

I worked really hard in college for the last 4 years and will soon start at a great company that is not located in a major city (think of a city like Sacramento but not Sacramento). I have 0 friends in the city I'm moving to and will be working with mostly much more senior guys. I am single and would love to ask you what is the best way to find a girlfriend in a situation like that? (Oh, and there are exceptionally few decent girls on dating sites/Tinder in that city, I hate clubbing and would rather not pick up random chicks in the gym. I'm decently attractive, but quite picky and not that

Alright Monkeys, So I've been a long time user of this site and have wanted to give back for a while - so here goes. Today during my painfully boring Econometrics class I received a call from a BB's HR telling me I had been officially extended an offer as an analyst on my top choice team in NYC. Needless to say, I was ecstatic. The offer was a culmination of relentless hard work, but was also an affirmation of my overall worldview: that life isn't a fair place and huge opportunities exist for anyone whom, regardless of their intellectual horsepower, devotes themselves to achieving everything

Yes, I know that b-schools in general are not great for guys due to the gender ratio and the fact that a lot of women come in already committed to serious relationships. However, from my own personal experience and talking to numerous buddies at the top programs, I think some schools are just a lot better than others. What criteria am I using to assess this? It's a combination of % of women at the school, % of single women, and the overall caliber of women. Certain schools have done a great job lately of raising the number of women in the class while others have lagged behind. Also some schools have a crazier hook-up culture due to a higher % of singles and other factors. So without further ado, here's my list of the best b-schools for single straight bros, in no particular order:

I'm being serious in this post so please no BS or jokes. I see a beautiful girl at my office walking around all the time. Pretty confident that she's not on my floor because I always see her around lunch time only. Never spoken to her before, but we have made occasional eye contact. What would be the best approach to asking her out? Below, is an example ideal convo I would like to have! -Hey -Hey -I know this is random, but do you have a boyfriend? -No -Oh great. WANTED, a dating app for high-quality people, it's a balance between looks, money and taste. Lets start with this. 9 out of 10 people you see and meet are unsleepable. No matter how hard you try, you wouldn't be able to do it. I beg women not to sell yourself short. Just plainly tell people what you are, what you are into and what you enjoy. I was on Tinder right now. I am just surprised how many women there are thinking that they are 10 out of 10! They are at best 5 but acting like a 10! "If you are not a tea drinker and tall, you NEED NOT APPLY." Is she kidding!!! Based on her profile, I

Hi guys, long time poster here, and even longer time lurker (was gone for a bit of hiatus). For the record, this is NOT a troll post. If you think it is, please refrain from replying because I need a genuine opinion here. (Thanks). I'm posting under anonymity for obvious reasons as colleagues/clients know me and I don't want this stuff on the net. Here's the story (and rationale): I'm a 25yro who is apparently still stuck in my old high school days of punk rock and wearing lots and lots of black. I'm currently dating a 19 year old girl (3 months now) who attends nearby college in NYC. The

My friends from (top) engineering undergrad/graduate school who are either in banking(quant research mostly) or engineering(facebook/google programmers) are extremely smart. All nice/kind girls, but they are not hot. Dress okay-ish, and never too hip. They do go out and drink but very average.

Recently, there were several articles on where people meet their future spouses. There was the controversial op-ed from a Princeton alumna who urged the female undergrads at her alma mater to snag a husband while they're in school because their pool will never be that good again. A recent NY Times article discussed the rapid rise of online dating while school still remains a top source.

I've been dating this sociology major for a while now. Mostly, she's great, but sometimes she says some things that make me suspect she thinks all businessmen are like Tex Richman, the evil oil baron from the Muppet Movie. For my senior project, I'm making a multiple regression model to explain why the cost of higher education is outstripping CPI like no tomorrow. "That's easy," she pointed out when I told her about it, "colleges are businesses, so they jack up their prices."

i'm bored and high so i thought i'd throw this post up for fun, see disclaimer at the bottom about throwing monkey shit seeing a regular chick can be a great experience, especially if you're into the girl. if 3+ of the below have happened to you then you are what some may refer to as "seeing a chick" / "having a girl on the reg" / "courting a chick" etc, i.e. you're seeing the same girl consistently (but not necessarily bf/gf) she regularly keeps an item in your bathroom or bedroom, e..g. toothbrushes, hairdryer, makeup, clothes she forgets jewelry at your house all the time she has gone to work from your house in the morning you find her hair in really weird places she asks if you're seeing anyone else

WARNING: Somewhat NSFW if monitor easily seen by peers. So there's this bartender chick that I have an in with, long story short it's overtly indicative she want's String's D (actually verified, because we hooked up the first evening we hung out without hardly any badgering from me, which is what I normally have to do for one night stands); and possibly seeks access to my low 6 figure salary (I'd be OK with that, somewhat). So bottom line, who here - NOT in college (although if you are, please feel free to share any exciting hook-up stories w/ slut bag bartenders, although I'm going to guess right off the bat you're lying, but that's OK long as it's entertaining) - works on avg. >70 hrs a week and has dated a bartender, casually to somewhat seriously for >45 days.

Moderator note (Andy): this is an oldie (2/19/08) but always an interesting topic to discuss. One of my frat bros who graduated college 2 years ago is married. He married his high school sweetheart last year, at age 23. I went to his wedding, the girl was pretty hot (she was a solid 8), he told me he was the happiest man on the planet at the moment, etc. One year later, he is constantly talking about how shitty his life is. He despises marriage now. He told me his wife has 'gold digging instinct'.. saying how his level of income isn't satisfactory for her and she wishes that she married a guy that was rich or had a higher paying job. He also mentions how he gets into so many arguments here and there all the time for really petty reasons. He has no freedom. Now, he's considering divorce.

WSO, Most of us work hard and play hard. But dating takes a toll, as every ones knows, you gotta do the whole mating dance; the mind games, teasing, etc.. before you can close the deal. They say don't "shit where you eat" or "dip your pen in the company ink" or whatever the fucking idioms are. But I have no time and there are some hot skirts in the office. Should I go in lads? Also, this question is for the chicks, "Do you tell your friend if you sleep with a guy you both know mutually?" WSO how have your experiences been so far?

First, wallstreetoasis has been my all time favorite for quite a while, I especially enjoy reading the thoughtful dating tips you guys offered to your fellow frustrated male moneys. I rarely saw ladies seeking such advice here, but I don't mind to be the outlier. (a typical me) The reason why I seek advice from you guys, mostly because I feel I can relate to you so much after reading all the posts here, so to speak, all comes down to the mentality: the strong drive for money, status, success, hot chicks, hot cars, etc. I feel home here. However, in reality, I've never met a handful of guys who

Or does it matter how you phrase it? Ex: "Lets get a drink together sometime." Does this imply you just want to get drinks and enjoy each other's company. Meaning, she pays for her drinks? vs. "Let me take you out for a drink sometime" This sounds like you're asking her out on a date, where you'd be expected to buy her drinks. Am I right? However, would some girls still expect a free ticket regardless of how its worded?
