I've applied to 20+ IB diversity programs and haven't gotten into a single one. I have a 3.95+ GPA, go to a target school, and am studying finance. I have had my cover letters and resumes edited by upperclassmen going into banking and haven't gotten negative feedback. I see people who have the same background as me getting into these programs without networking. I haven't even gotten first-round interviews and feel like I must be doing something wrong, but can't figure out what it is. Does anyone have any advice?

Diversity recruiting has been the subject of several posts over the last few weeks. Although there are existing WSO posts that try to aggregate opportunity for diverse candidates, this one aims to be an exhaustive list that includes all the introductory programs and formal internship pipelines offered by firms on the street so candidate are aware of these opportunities. As new opportunities continue to be created, I plan to update this list. diversity investment bank programs The opportunities are separated into two buckets: introductory programs and internship opportunities. Read this before reading my long post: This path is only applicable to Latinos, African Americans and Native Americans, since it is a requirement to be accepted to the program. I hope this following post provides another way (from the many great suggestions of all of the other posts) to finally land an internship This is my first post in WSO. I decided to write it because I couldn't find any posts similar to the path I took. A path that landed me a summer internship at a top firm. Many people are not even aware that it exists. Some people will argue that it is unfair, but for me, it was

Hey Everyone - I recently started prepping for sophomore summer diversity programs and was hoping I could get some advice on how to prep best for them. Currently, I am a rising sophomore at UMich studying Business and Math. A lot of people are telling me that getting a sophomore summer diversity offer is a good means of working in IB. My questions are as follows. 1. What are top-tier BB banks (JPM/MS/GS) looking for? Do they want kids that have good technicals or what exactly? 2. I know that MS and GS have really established sophomore summer program; what about JPM and BAML? I have not heard

I am a woman from a non-target in the west coast (mid tier UC's, U-wash) with a 3.9GPA (just finished freshman year and am a rising sophomore). Do I have a chance to get into diversity programs since I'm from a non-target? I have no internship this summer but I have leadership role in a finance club on campus. Do I need to know people or network to get into diversity programs? I currently have 0 connections so is that bad? And do EB's or smaller boutique shops do diversity programs? Coming from a non-target with no connections I feel like I have a higher chance at a boutique lol but correct me

Wanted to start a thread on this since the most recent one I found was from 2018. Anyone know what the next steps are after the video cover letter? How many people are invited tot he summit / how selective is the program? Thanks.

Hey yall! I am a Middle Eastern immigrant, first-generation, and lower-income. I also am not white-passing. I am having trouble applying for many diversity programs because their limited definition of diversity is "Black, Latino or LGBT". Many of my African American friends and Hispanic friends tell me to just put Black or Latino. I am just wondering what should I actually put because there are not many Arabs on Wall Street. We also only make up 1% of the United States. So I was wondering if I can get feedback. Also if there repercussions for not identifying properly. Additionally is there

Which PE firms have the best diversity recruiting programs for full time MBA recruiting. I am going into a small-cap consumer PE firm for my summer internship and would like to move to a bigger firm post MBA.

I am a diverse student at a high-ranking university, and I am curious if other people notice the same thing I do. Whenever I go to diversity info sessions or diversity programs/events, I constantly see non-diverse candidates there. Do others experience this too? Or, at diversity super days, do others notice non-diverse candidates? I would like to see if my experience is the same across schools and firms, or if I am an anomaly. It seems counterintuitive for firms to market diversity events and have non-diverse candidates, so I want to see if others notice this too. Please let me know!

Has anyone heard back from RBC Capital Markets 2022 Canada Diversity Program? I completed the online assessments in early May but still haven't received any update on my application.

I am a junior in college and I just found out that I was accepted to the Oaktree Future Leaders program. I will be attending the training session in person in the NYC office. Is anyone else planning on going/have any idea what this program is? I applied on a whim and don't have many friends in finance so I'm curious what to expect. I know from the description that it will culminate in some kind of case competition - but what exactly is the point of the event? Is it to recruit current undergrads for positions 2-3 years out of school? FYI - I am a junior at a target school and am interning at a

I'm entering a master's program in management science this fall, and coming from a different (mathematics) field am just finding out about these undergraduate diversity programs. Does anyone know any equivalents/similar programs at the grad school level to get into IB? Thanks! Not understanding why my ask warrants monkey shit, probably just some hate on diversity like always. Anyhow, does anyone have any leads on master's degree diversity programs?

Hi all, I have attended only a couple of diversity events for London/EMEA recruiting-- I was wondering what do you guys use to find events/insight weeks for women and diverse professionals in Finance, specifically for London+SA/Graduate recruiting? I have bookmarked the events pages of most firms but that gets old quick, is there any group or page that posts such opportunities? thanks:)

Wanted to start a thread for the Out For Undergrad Business conference this year seeing that it's a relatively major diversity event with big-name sponsors (GS, MS, CS, JPM...) but I don't think I've seen any posts about it here on WSO. Any fellow attendees or past participants who care to share their experience/advice?

Is anyone aware of more Summer Associate diversity apps for women and URM that are still open? Or events that lead to a Superday/SA invite? I'm on the hunt and have found a few- but more leads are always welcomed.

i am applying to diversity programs and looking to recruit IB or securities in the fall, any suggestions for crash course finance info? I need to prep for intro program interviews (have one set up for morgan stanley that I need to do and have a few apps i just submitted) but surprisingly my target b school doesn't help us prep much in class, and i have not taken any actual finance courses yet. I have a 3.55 business gpa, 3.49 overall (health emergency last year and I missed a month of school) and am worried that this won't be high enough but then again I am an LGBTQ female which I guess helps

Hi guys! Was wondering if y'all knew of any diversity recruiting fly-in events during the Spring for juniors? Management Consulting/Banking/Non-Tech Tech roles/etc. all work. Most are for sophomores it seems. Went to a BB's diversity fly-in program last year and loved it. Not looking for an internship out of it. Just networking & exploring.
