I was recently accepted as a sophomore transfer student to Duke University and will probably be majoring in economics with a concentration in finance and minoring in computer science. Currently I am a student at Macaulay Honors, Baruch College majoring in financial mathematics. I am not receiving any financial aid from Duke and will be taking on significant loans after I graduate. Will transferring to Duke give me better career choices and an edge in business school applications? Is it worth the money? Thank you.

Two starkly contrasted stories appeared in main-stream media this week: Miriam Weeks, known by her adult film star name Belle Knox, became a polarizing topic in the news this week after she was outed as an 18 year-old Duke undergrad who is paying for her tuition and living expenses with the income from a Cape Canaveral-style launch into the adult entertainment industry. Her choice to enter the industry came, in her words, after long consideration and a willingness to proudly bear the reputation. She is studying sociology and women's studies, and hopes to become a lawyer one day, in an effort to combat violence and mistreatment of sex workers.

I figured that the title would be luring to many of you. I'm 18 years old and was recently diagnosed with a form of cancer. It's treatable by taking a pill a day everyday for the rest of my life and has a 5 year survival rate of 90%. Will this stop me from ever working on Wall St or entering IB, PE, or anything really? As in with regards to medical exams, etc. Just something I really have to know. Thank you.
