This week's report is a continuation of "Week 3: The Pitch", "Week 2: Hitting the Desk", and "Week 1: Training Week" Monday The blackberry resumed its usual doom and gloom at 6:00 AM, so I woke up a little earlier than planned to do the load of laundry that I didn't get a chance to do over the weekend. After a cup of coffee and reading through a few dozen emails, I figured out that the team intended to file the latest deck with the SEC Tuesday morning to hit the market that day. Only minor last minute changes and inclusion of the weekend analyses were on the agenda for today. In the office at

Hey everyone, Wanted to ask if people used any specific networking strategies that seemed to work well during their recruiting cycle for an SA position? I've personally been sending out quite a few of the standard '15 minute phone chat' cold emails, but the yield has been pretty poor, even though most of them are alumni from my school. Bit confused by this as I've been using the same format/timing as others. Moreover, wondering how many people folks reached out throughout the process- was it something like 15 new emails at the beginning of each week? 20? 30? Just don't want to fall behind

Hey guys, I am an international student studying finance at a target university. I will be applying for SA positions soon and really wished to get some inputs on the dress code. I see a lot of information for what to wear during your SA / Analyst gig, but my concern is more over whats best for your SA interview. I planned on wearing decent looking navy blue / charcoal suits, slacks, white shirt, silk tie and some decent looking black shoes and belt. All these I have bought from my home country and they look good, just that they are not Brooks Brothers / Saks / Bloomingdales (we do not have those stores in my country).

Wondering what people have to say about BBH these days in terms of pay, culture etc. Also if an M&A/Private equity internship there would be a good experience for junior summer/ would a move to bulge bracket or buy side be possible? A lot of the posts on BBH talk about low pay, not dynamic, etc. but I know several partners at the firm who all do incredibly well so just trying to get a feel for the place, thanks!

Hey all, Quick question. In Europe it is pretty common for summer analyst programs to take masters students etc., is it the same for the US? In the application process it offers either "undergraduate" for analyst and "MBA" for associate, so I am curious if you're doing an MSc in Finance or something along those lines whether they'd take you for the analyst program. Thanks!

I am a rising sophomore with a 3.88 GPA and a decent SAT score (2100+). Due to my lackluster high school GPA I am currently attending a non-target university in the New York City (St. John's University, Fordham University, Hofstra University) because I was denied to NYU Stern and U MICH Ross. So far, I've managed to gain two internships this summer, one of which was merely data entry and fetching coffee for a hedge fund capital raising firm that didn't seem too successful, and a PE firm where I actually got exposure to deals and modeling. Besides transferring to another school, could someone give some advice on how to eventually land a bulge bracket offer come graduation.
