Since we have limited budget, we have been presented with 3 main sources for Infrastructure News and deals, LP and GP databases: 1. Inframation 2. Infrastructure Investor 3. Infrastructure Journal. I have been using Inframation and Infrastructure Investor, but some colleagues mentioned Infrastructure Journal has the largest database (not sure about that). Ive read a very useful post re Pitchbook vs S&P IQ and hope to read your views and then decide. Thanks,

Hello everyone, I've been a common reader and this is my first post/thread. I work as an Associate in a LATAM PE boutique and we are starting to evaluate the structuring of infrastructure/utilities funds. In this context I would like to ask for anyone experience on how to get into this business as fast as possible. It could be books, guides or even online courses. I worked in M&A as a generalist (LATAM is to small to specialize in an industry) before this, so I have a good grasp of all the financial know-how. Im looking for how to deep dive in Infrastructure, since Ive noticed is has a lot of

Hello everyone, I am learning about the infrastructure investment (PE infrastructure and institutional investment types) and it seems to be the next big thing. But I was wondering how would one add value (ie: getting higher IRR, or increase potential earning of an acquired asset)? I know that PE infrastructure is not like traditional PE, where you can add value on the operational side, but is it true that your potential earning is pre-determined when you acquire an asset? Thank you, Kami

Suppose someone worked in an infrastructure advisory firm doing due dilligence (commercial and technical) for acquisition deals. Would that person be an asset to an Infra PE fund? Or anywhere in Infra funds management? Or is something like Infra IB more approrpriate? Would the Infrastructure Advisory Firm person have a chance? No chance? Lose out to the IB guy? Examples of infrastructure advisory would be: http://advisian.com/ http://www.ghd.com/annualreview/2016/performance/…

All Wanted to get people's thoughts on getting into the infrastructure investment industry. I don't have formal banking experience, but I do have a master's in finance from a top public and 2 years' experience in corporate development at a major infrastructure player including some financial modeling and deal execution. My questions are: is it feasible given my qualifications to go direct into the infrastructure investing space? Or is it almost necessary to have banking experience? And if so, how do I get into banking as someone 2 years out of school with no banking experience? Thanks!

Currently interviewing at an infrastructure group that specializes in airport investing and got invited to do a case study next Wednesday. I will have to do a model within 90min and then send it back. The company does terminal redevelopment, privatization and also sometimes just charge a management fee for running airports. Any idea of how I can prepare for this? Any similar case studies I can look at?

Knowledgeable people of WO, I am currently looking to move to an infrastructure group and am currently in interviews with a fund. I am not sure what the outcome will be as there are a few candidates with more experience, but through researching for the position, I have become very interested in the work. Do any of you have any suggestions of how to break in when one isn't part of a public finance group and has more of a project fin. background (junior not too experienced). Is this a long shot or can it be done? If so, 1) Could you elaborate on your/your friends experience? I am looking to get in contact with you/them or at the very least see what your approach was in order to attempt to replicate
