Have an upcoming case study with a MM this month and was wondering if anyone has any updated views on approaching the case study. Likely will be 4 hours in length and similar to ones discussed on prior topics with ~2 years of transcripts, 10-q/k's, etc. Is fine-tuning the model essential? I can confidently build a model within the 4 hours but plugging in the historical cash flows for the year is definitely a time killer. For instance, would skipping the quarters and just filling in the annuals for the CF up until the last few quarters make sense if I could spend more time thinking about

Hi everyone, I got invited to the GS Global Markets (loan management) Superday. I have been trying to find more info on the division and how interviews usually look like but couldn't find much here or on the internet in general. Does anyone have any experience or any insights into the division/interviews. The job is specifically Goldman Sachs Global Markets (loan management) in their Dallas office. Let me know if you have any other question. Thank you!

This is a weird question, but during my internship this summer, one of the HR people said that they don't like it when applicants wear AirPods during HireVues. I thought it was really odd, and she didn't give much of a reason. Something about them not being used to AirPods... Idk maybe it's pretentious? Was wondering if anyone here actually gives a shit whether or not kids had wires in their headphones

Hi everybody, I have an interview coming up with with an institutional commercial real estate firm primarily engaging in large office acquisitions as well as development across the nation. This role I'll be interviewing for will be for an entry level analyst. I currently work in Wealth Management performing mostly administrative work and have never professionally underwrote anything, although I do practice on my own. I have been trying to break into real estate for some time now and have primarily focused on multi-family. However this opportunity arose and this could be a big ticket into

Tie or No Tie, That is the Question. Bankers just wear t-shirts during interviews nowadays, I'm thinking no tie should fare just fine. What do you think?

For Investment Banking entry level positions: Is there any difference in the questions between the early rounds of interviews (with Associates) and the final interview rounds (with Directors and MDs)? Do Managing Directors focus more on fit or technicals?

I recently had an on campus interview for a position with a BB. I made it to final round, and was pretty confident in my performance. I got along well with the interviewers (at least I thought I did), and I sent a few follow up emails. The first email I sent was to someone who basically got me the interview. He wasn't an interviewer, but he came with the team to campus and we had casual conversation the entire time. I sent him an email thanking him for his time, for sending my resume in and I said that we should stay in touch (also provided my contact information). He responded saying that the

Hi everyone, I've been reading and following the forum regularly for a very long time as a guest.. But this is really the first time I create an account and start my first post. This is going to be a long one, but I really appreciate any help or suggestion from you guys. So... I recently had an interview with a MM for a FT 1st year analyst position in their IBD/Restructuring team through an alumnus from my college. I did my 1st round interview on phone with him earlier last week. It was pure technical. I did well and was almost immediately invited back for final round last Friday (1/30) in their office in NYC.

i fight because i know everyone has an inner-Bateman. i love doing mixed martial arts, jiu jitsu, wrestling, striking, etc. wall street is still a fairly testosterone driven place and i know a couple of senior bankers that practice jiu jitsu as well; however, is "fighting" too much of a taboo thing to talk about on your resume (under interests) and in interviews? serious question, so serious answers only please. thanks all.
