Hello everyone, I saw posts like this for other banks and was curious about BofA. What are the exit ops for coverage groups like? Which coverage groups are best? Which have the best culture? Any insight would be appreciated

Hey Everyone, Heard a lot of people talking about bonuses and being a top bucket analyst. What does top bucket analyst exactly mean? Work the most? Do the best work? Any tips to become a top bucket analyst and get that PHAT bonus in the future?

I cannot give away too much information as I want to remain anonymous but I have two strong internships this summer and both have been moved online. I was wondering if I could get your thoughts on doing both of them? What is the workload likely to be in WFH situations? What are my chances of getting caught?

Finished another internship in banking a few months ago, by now I have 4 M&A/finance related internships (Big 4 , strong regional bank and international banks). However, I have not been offered a full-time analyst position thus far. I graduated 2 years ago and I feel I need a full-time job, but due to Covid it's even harder to get in as a ft analyst. Should I just give up the (nearly unpaid) grind and go to audit or any other finance related job and just do an MBA after 2 years; or continue doing internships with empty promises and lengthen my resume with more internships where I get paid the

I currently just wrapped up my sophomore year at a complete non-target school and I'm currently recruiting for investment banking summer analyst roles for 2021. I go to school where my friends aren't as ambitious as me. My hometown is also similar where most of my friends aren't nearly as ambitious or hard working as me either. They don't mind working a regular 9-5 job. In other words, I've become the complete opposite of what most of my friends are. As I've become busier with summer analyst recruiting ramping up, my friends are giving me a hard time about not going out with them and being

I accepted an offer with an energy bank down in Houston and I'm from the Texas area so I was wondering how housing works for SA? Do banks usually have places where they house interns? Or am I up to find housing myself? I know the best course of action would be to ask my HR rep but I don't want to sound weird asking literally 12 months in advance. Also, do banks pay for your SA housing or is that coming from your pay? The bank didn't mention anything about a relocation stipend for the summer. Don't know if that's because I'm only a couple hours away? Is that something that I should ask about

Hey guys, I am doing PE internship at a boutique till late September, but I can switch to an IB boutique next month. If I do that, then I will spend 6 weeks in the PE and 6 weeks in IB. Do you think 2 internships in 1 summer is bad, should I stay in PE? Btw my aims is to apply to 2021 IB internships next term. Thanks

So this happened a few times last summer where my co-workers messed up but then the boss corrected me on it even though I knew what I was doing and it was a co-worker who did that part or someone senior than me told me to do it an incorrect way. Do I just take the blame even though it hurts my reputation and wasn't my fault? I don't want to talk back or blame someone else but I feel my cred shouldn't suffer.

Hey, new user here! Since my university canceled summative exams due to COVID this year I will not have any grade on my transcript. What should I put on my CV or in the application forms when they ask about my grade? Thanks

Hey Everyone, I am interning for a mid tier BB this summer and come from a non target. I was wondering am I at a disadvantage coming from a non target when it comes to FT offers? The kids in my groups are mostly from ivy's and they have many summer analysts this summer 15+. I want to do anything to get the FT offer, but am worried that others will be looked at more (especially virtually) bc they are from an ivy? Any thoughts or experiences on this topic? Would appreciate any advice.

Hello, Has anyone received an interview for this position? I did some reading because I am failing to fully understand the difference in e-trading and traditional sales and trading. What I am able to gather is that this is more of automation rather than traditional order inputs. However the pre-requisitions did not state that you needed to have knowledge in computer science or certain languages, perhaps because this is the research part of it? Things to note, This is my first video interview sent to me after completing the pymetrics. Any idea what questions to expect for this role? or a link

Hi, so I am an incoming freshman at a school and was curious when I should begin to "apply" for summer positions for the summers after my freshman year, sophomore year, and junior year. I've been reading posts where some banks are recruiting 2 years in advance where the norm seems to be about 1 year? Specifically, for the summer after freshman year, so for me summer 2021, I should be emailing around me for PWM positions or unpaid internships in December or January? Is that the right idea? For summer 2022, I've read I should be applying during summer 2021? And for summer 2023, I should be

Hi Guys! I was wondering if, when applying for IBs in London for SA, I should add to my CV that I engage in a political party. Background Information: I stood as regional candidate for the party. I am not from the UK, and the party is (obviously) not active in the UK. The party is not radically leftwing or rightwing, but rather centrist (I believe that it would appeal to a lot of people working in IB, in my Country it surely does), and is in the broader sense comparable to the LibDems (although more successful in terms of votes, but not governing). Thank you for your feedback!

Hi, so I recently applied for a spring week. I submitted my application and realised that my CV had some grammatical errors. If I was to withdraw this app, and upload another app with a different gmail and another legitimate home address- would this be noticed?

I was very fortunate to have gotten an IB internship because of a connection at the bank instead of PWM/Accounting. Because of extremely low deal flow and most firms being shut down, instead of working on a live transaction we were given training sessions and looked at the effect of a recent acquisition on the company's financials and the synergies and the metrics that were looked at during the acquisition. I was wondering if this experience would be as valuable as directly working on a live transaction and if I should spin it to sound like I did some valuation and modeling work.

Hey guys, I will apply for 2021 SA IB London internships. Do you think mentioning my CFA Society UK membership is a good idea? (I passed Lv.1) Not sure because it may give the impression that I want AM more.

Apologies, long post ahead: Hi all, I am a few weeks into my internship and so far having a good time. I am definitely learning a lot (hard not to given the number of new things exposed to) and enjoy the content. However, one thing I am having trouble with is actually absorbing the information I am learning. For example, I can make a few analysis pages and just find myself mechanically making those without really absorbing the meaning behind it. Ideally, when put on a new project, it would be great to have some time (maybe half a day to a day) to flip through the materials, learn about the

Hi everyone - I am a rising sophomore at UMich and I was hoping people could share some information about GPA requirements for firms. Currently, I have a 3.74 but I have heard a couple of things. 1. I heard that the BB (JPM, GS, MS) care less about your GPA (3.6 and above) I was wondering how accurate this really is. 2. I heard Evercore will not accept people who have below a 3.9 for the first round. How true is this and how likely are they to overlook a 3.7. 3. How true is the narrative about having a 3.5 is all you need as the resume cut off. I was not sure if this was ever the case but if

Hi everyone! I'm very new to WSO and I was hoping to get some advice from more experienced professionals. Background: I am an incoming sophomore at a non-target (3.8 GPA) with decent extra circulars and involved on campus. I am also currently completing an internship at a MM private equity firm in NC. Also, I did not get any scholarships, not involved with honors, and my SAT was not the greatest (if this matters at all). While I am in PE rn, I was hoping to acquire an IB internship for this fall. I am not sure which field I would enjoy more so I would like to try them both out. However, as I

Hello Everyone, I am going to be a sophomore at a NESCAC (W/A/M) this fall and want to land an IB internship at a BB after junior year. I have a 3.7 GPA but not much extra involvement in clubs or other groups. I am going to be walking onto the Football team as a punter and was wondering how much this would help me on a resume, or to get a BB internship? Given that internships the summer after junior year often lead to full time offers, what else should I be doing to build my profile to get an IB opportunity after junior year?
