as a first-year IB analyst fresh out of undergrad, is it frowned upon to negotiate compensation up to a level competitive with other banks? I don't want to get my offer rescinded but I believe I can provide more value-add to the firm...

Hi all, Does anyone have any insight into the salary structure (salary + bonus) for private debt analysts/associates at an insurance company? Currently located in a second-tier city. Also, what is the earning potential at the MD level? Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, I was discussing comp with a boutique VC firm (started a couple years ago and is part of a much larger healthcare advisory firm) and threw out ~$150K as total comp. I will be the first hire and coming in as "entry level?" to work under the two partners. My background is ~2 years of life sciences consulting and ~1.5 years of corporate development at a high-growth startup. I was wondering if I lowballed it or if I'm around the right mark. Would love your guys' insights into what proper comp for a boutique VC firm in NYC should be.

A buddy of mine got me a job interview at AllianceBernstein for Equity Research, but I have no idea on what the bonuses look like for first year Equity Research Associates. I already got an offer where compensation is like 115k all in. I know base for AB is like 85k. What do bonuses look like for 1st years?

I don't want to miss the boat for exit recruiting, but if the pay scales nicely, I hope to become a career banker. My analyst class (2021) was offered $95,000 base salary + $25,000 signing bonus, and assuming 80% end of year bonus (+$76,000) = $196,000 total compensation. How much does the pay scale for Associates, VP, and MD? I just hoped to
