Series 66 - Training Consultants
I used both STC and Training Consultants materials to study for the 66. Read the STC book and found I retained literally nothing. Began with Training Consultants again and found the material to be much easier to retain. The Training Consultants exams were particularly helpful as they mirrored actual...
Just failed my 66, What's next?
Had my exam Friday the 26th. Failed with a 69%. I was/am pretty pissed off and disappointed. Mostly because I failed by 6 questions. Would've been perfectly happy passing with a slim 75%. Anyway, does anyone know what happens next in terms of work + licensing?

Original target date for the exam was supposed to be Monday the 29th, but Boss man decided to put it to tomorrow Friday the 26th instead. Pretty nervous as I had 6 days to study. (Passed the 7 on Friday, celebrated a bit that night, call from boss the next day saying buckle up and get my shit...
Just passed the 7, 66 next week
Been watching on here for quite a while, I would say since about fall of 2015. Reading all the different reactions to the Series 7, ranging from, and I quote here, "If you can fog a mirror, you can pass the 7" to "A decent work ethic and a mediocre amount of time will allow you get a passing score;...
Series 6/63 or 7/66 licensing
Hi guys, just thought I'd jump on here and see if anyone can help answer some questions. However, I only received my life and health before I went on to leave the company and start my own...

I am trying to take the Series 7 and 66 a year from now and have started studying. I have been looking for a FINRA firm to sponsor me, does anybody know which firms are easier to get sponsorship from? I am still in college and want to have this designation before I graduate or right around the time...
PWM-> Banking-> VC
I have some questions about banking. I'm considering the industry because VC sounds like a potential career for me in the next ten years and I have heard that banking or consulting is the route prior to VC . Quick background: I work at a BB PWM firm in Los Angeles and have my Series 7 and am taking...
Series 7, Series 66 as Undergraduate
So I am an undergrad at a well known (not ivy league) business school majoring in Finance. This summer I received my Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. I was wondering if anyone knows how valuable this is as a resume booster. I understand that in 3 or 4 years, these licenses don't mean anything...
