I wanted to hear takes on the questions below. I understand some can be answered by facilitating a google search but would be helpful to hear input from guys participating on the ownership side. 1. determining feasibility for acquisitions and underwriting? 4. in terms of financing, do most ground up developments assume construction loans, and then refinance to permanent ones after stabilization or completion?

For those of you who need H1B Visa sponsorship for entry-level, can we make a list together to identify investment banks that don't sponsor h1b? I found an earlier post back in 2010 with a list but it should be out of date. As far as I know, Wells Fargo and Piper Jaffray don't consider international students for their analysts at all. It could be wrong but let's make an up-to-date list together. Thanks a lot!

Hey everyone! How hard is it to get into IBD as an international student? Is it extremely hard like some fields such as medicine, or is it more forgiving and accepting such as law? Are companies generally willing to sponsor visas for international students to work as analysts, etc.? What about internships during the school year, is the process of obtaining those any different? Thanks for your time and help. (P.S. I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I tried searching and it was giving me thousands of posts about interns as opposed to internationals.)

For many of us international students here in the U.S., the most dreaded time of our professional career arrives as we are about to graduate with an undergraduate degree, more specifically in finding a company what is willing to offer us H-1B sponsorship; also known as the "Person in Specialty Occupation" Visa. Once international students have used up all of the 12 months available through the OPT (which I've addressed in my earlier posts), international students are basically left with very few choices if they are to remain legally in the U.S., with most students opting to acquire an H-1B

Hi guys, Firstly, I'd like to thank WSO for the LSE Investment Banking Conference thread from few weeks ago (I think its deleted). I heared about the event here, and I applied that day. Event details: http://www.lse-ibc.com/ Date: Saturday, 1st December 2012 Time: 8.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. I have received their positive response yesterday: "...Congratulations! You have been selected to attend the LSE Investment Banking Conference. Your application was exceptional and fit the criteria we were looking for. We would thus like to invite you to attend the conference as a delegate..."

Hi everybody, I signed a contract with Saudi Aramco that pretty much covers the expenses of my university education. I am supposed to repay that by working with them for 5 years OR pay it off. The latter is somewhat out of question (I hear it's somewhere near $1 million), and the former looks like a total drag if I was presented with the opportunity to work for a BB at a top group. Do you think a bulge bracket IB would pay Aramco off if I was a good enough candidate? I met a person who graduated from MIT and signed the same contract that I did before he went to the US. Google picked him up after graduation and paid the tab (again, around $1 million). Thanks in advance for your input

Anyone know anything about the Select Equity Group in NYC? All I can find is that they are a hedge fund sponsor, but their website is actually just one page with logo and address. Anything would be helpful.

Hey all, I am looking for a way to get sponsored for the Series 79 & Series 63 exams because I'm trying to get an Analyst position in M&A. I have finance experience and want to get 79 & 63 licenses to improve my chances of landing an I-Banking Analyst position. Anyone here know a firm that sponsors even if you aren't employed withe them? Thanks
