Ladies and Gentlemen...

From the mouth of the most powerful man on the planet...

"A woman's got to work about three more months in order to get what a man got, because she's paid less," Mr. Obama said, speaking at a White House event. "That's not fair. That's like adding an extra 6 miles to a marathon."

http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB100014240527023039104045794896122…

I don't even care that this is an election season stunt, I've given up on society... moving to Martinique.

I'm honestly indifferent of these sort of statistics, but I always love how people can take an article like this and claim that it has completely "revealed" the nature of the argument. I think any statistical claim (be it left or right), typically cherry picks their numbers or hypothesis to fit their agenda.

Who can claim that WSJ didn't do the same? Just because it has presented the reader with more variables, doesn't mean it has provided all of them.

Again, not trying to defend Obama's claim, just pointing out that it is equally naive to take an opposing party's stats on faith just because they logically refute the other's.

People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for freedom of thought which they seldom use.

Lets take the average salary of the top 10 athletes in the world and then compare it to the 10 lowest paid people in America and cry about inequality.

Follow the shit your fellow monkeys say @shitWSOsays Life is hard, it's even harder when you're stupid - John Wayne

My last banana just went to you, sir.

Let me expand on your point a little further to include all celebrities. Somehow these people always seemed to be left out of the contemptuous uproar expressed for the super elite.

I don't care. Obama is playing to the mass of morons on his side, just like Republicans say stupid shit for the mouth breathers on the right side.

I would truly hate to be a politician. I mean Obama is a super educated dude and he must throw up every night trying to appease the absolute morons in this nation.

Anyone knows the wage disparity isn't actual discrimination, but a bunch of factors combined which cause this difference. It isn't discrimination, but life choices and biology.

The reality is the vast majority of Americans (as well as citizens in the world) are barely functional imbeciles. Yet we need the sheep to make the wheels turn.

It's funny because there was a year or two span, mostly during college, where I was literally reading everything about politics. After a while, you realize the whole thing is catered to sound bytes and propaganda that there's literally no benefit to staying current with the political parties.

A client of mine always says, "Politics were created to keep the idiots distracted while the rest of us are busy doing all the real work that makes the world go 'round."

"Everybody needs money. That's why they call it money." - Mickey Bergman - Heist (2001)

This is just ridiculous. Look at Mary Barra, Sheryl Sandberg, Edith Cooper, etc. -- more women are getting into the workforce (and getting high-paying, C-level positions) than ever! I understand the focus on sexual/gender inequality/discrimination -- but not on price inequality.

+1. You know that Sandberg is a billionaire. (I believe she is worth somewhere around $ 1.4 Bn.)

Winners bring a bigger bag than you do. I have a degree in meritocracy.

Equal rights always tilts me. Not so much the male/female stuff but now there's this huge push for transgender equal rights in CA. High school kids can identify as whatever and then use those bathrooms, locker rooms etc. That shit's messed up... it's only a matter of time before some M-to-F tranny starts setting state records in the women's mile or 100m dash. In fact, it could be a good strategy for college admissions... look like an elite athlete even though you're an average dude in a dress. Before long we're going to have four bathrooms everywhere... M, F, MtoF, FtoM. No thanks, bitches.

People are afraid to call anyone out on their PC bullshit, so people keep pushing its limits.

Friend from Sweden was telling me about the idiots there. Apparently, the man crossing the street on traffic signals was "sexist", so they replaced them.

...with a tranny?

Also, how did they know it was a man? Could be a flat-chested lady. Now who's sexist
