Supreme, BAPE, Off-White, or Y3 in the Workplace?

Does anyone wear any of their streetwear pieces in the workplace? I wear some nicer WESC button-ups and Cole Haan dress shoes with Nike Air cushioning (so comfortable!). I am thinking of picking up some BAPE/AAPE button-ups for Fridays. I don't own any Supreme or Super Dry, but I know they are popular brands and have dressier pieces. Feel free to share pics!

Perfunctory:
Wear Supreme into the office at your own risk. I cannot wait for the day when an intern wears a Supreme waist bag around his shoulder into the office.
...at your own risk of being hired the first day :)

Wearing that would be fine. There are so many ways to have fun with fashion in the workplace.

Is this for Operations at McDonald’s? If so, yes, you’ll fit right in.
Are you familiar with the price points of these brands? No one working at McDonalds is wearing these brands unless they have a corporate position or own a franchise.

>bragging about paying for overpriced dog-shit clothing made for pre-pubescent teenagers and man-children

Many such cases! Sad!

Supreme, Bape & Off-White?

Are you trying to prove that you are a Hypebeast to your coworkers or that your fashion taste is poor? Two of those brands especially just plaster their logos as blatantly & as conspicuously as possible on derivative clothes; the other makes use of a grossly outdated & tired pattern.

If you're considering those brands, you may as well consider for your complete work outfit: Versace for loafers, Gucci/Salvatore Ferragamo for belts, and Balmain for suits.

I am talking about their more discreet pieces. You inferred I was talking about box logos and APE monograms. I cannot post links, but search 'Aape Bape Oxford Flag Face Button Up Shirt' and 'Off-White Stripe Panel Shirt'.

If you know anything about apparel manufacturing, then you would know the high-fashion brands that you mentioned produce their clothing in the same private label factories as streetwear brands and brands carried in Target/Wal-Mart. There is no difference in the manufacuting process. Marketing and pricing leads consumers to believe a brand is high-fashion. Remove the logos and it is an image.

You're missing a key difference between street brands and more traditional brands: precision sizing. If you ever want to wear your shirt with a jacket & tie, you will want both the collar and the sleeve lengths to be right. You are much more likely to find a good personalized fit when you can specify collar to the exact 1/2" and sleeve to the exact 1".

Having spent time in garment factories in Asia, S/M/L sizing dramatically simplifies inventory management through the global apparel supply chain, but there's a trade-off of fit that's "roughly right."

With streetwear in a casual setting, nobody cares. In the highly conformist and judgemental world of financial services, somebody might.

Most of the people who have responded to you may have chided you, I'm not about to do all that, but I also can't say that their message is wrong. I guess my question is, if you're tying to wear Supreme/BAPE in the office, but know that you have to wear the understated versions of their clothing, what is the point? I guess aside from your own personal interest, what's the end goal here? that maybe a secretary will be like oh he has a taste for fashion he must be cooler than all of these other office drones? why spend the extra cash on stuff no one is going to notice, and god help you if you feel the need to tell your coworkers your shirt brand.

Street wear is meant to be flashy and has its place, but I'm afraid that place isn't the office. I have a Supreme LV scarf and I never once wore that shit to the office last winter. I will say the Cole Haans with the Nike foams are probably safe on Friday's though (biased source: currently in the office wearing a pair now).

The point is personal preference, not to brag or be noticed. I created the topic to see if anyone prefers wearing these types of brands in the workplace. Some prefer wearing basics in the work place like H&M, some prefer high-fashion like YSL, others may prefer street wear brands.

As long as you look good and feel good then the brands really do not matter. I was only interested in seeing if anyone wears more formal/understated street wear pieces into the office simply because they like the brand.

And again, I do not wear Supreme, but mentioned them because they are popular :) I sold all of my Bape clothes years ago, but kept a pair of original Bapestas. I have some Y3 and Off-White sneakers that are not office attire. I agree, Cole Haan is the way to go for comfortable and stylish dress shoes!
