Rejected after first round? Can I do another first round at the same bank?

Hello, I was recently rejected by a lower middle BB after a first round and was wondering if it would be plausible for my contacts to get me another first round?

So basically the guy that interviewed me was the biggest prick that I have met so far in banking and I knew after the first minute that I wasnt getting it. Recruiting has been pretty good so far and I currently have a MM and lower BB offer so it wasnt that I'm a shit candidate.

I reached out to two of my MD contacts about the interview (got the interview through modernguild not them, the regular process has barely started for the firm) and was told to reach out again once I hear back.

Has anyone ever been able to get another first round at the same bank?

To be specific, two of those first rounds were in the same cycle but for different locations and groups (one held interviews a few weeks after the other).

When I got the rejection call from the recruiter for the first group I thanked her a bunch and asked her if there were any other opportunities and they gave me a first round for the (presumably less competitive) second group.

If the MDs you networked with liked you there might still be some hope

i interviewed once for a BB when i was young...didn't get the job. Then 6 months later a friend started working there and i was asked to come in and interview again...and got the job.

having a friend on the inside makes a big difference

just google it...you're welcome

Y'all are categorizing the BB's to this much scrutiny now?

What's a UMM BB, Citi/Bar/CS/BAML?

Are GS/MS/JPM MF's?

Are Deutsche and UBS Boutique BB's now?

Every BB has their strength & weakness. Basically every BB has a coverage or product that they are top on the street at. Completely off topic but kind of retarded

GS TMT JPM Healthcare MS M&A BofA LevFin Citi S&T Barclays P&U CS FSG UBS ? DB ?
