College Football 2019

It's back! Who's excited? Kicking it off with defending national champs Clemson -36 against a new offensive scheme for GA Tech. Any bettors want to compare spreadsheets? Will Clemson repeat? Will Bama come back with a vengeance? What are your predictions for this season? Sound off

I think Georgia is gonna be fire this year. Clemson and Bama will be major competitors per the usual. Oregon and Washington will be fun to watch in Pac12 for sure. The SEC and Big Ten will be insanely competitive as always. I don't think it will be a particularly special college football season, but definitely just as fun as always.

As a PATRIOTS FAN, college football gives me something to do before I need to tune into the Super Bowl in February!

I'm a huge Georgia fan, hoping they can put it all together this year. Will Michigan be the top dog in Big Ten or will they collapse again? Something about College Gameday on a Saturday morning really gets the blood flowing and I can't wait for some major upsets that will likely happen this year. NFL is great especially with fantasy but I prefer college since there are no "sunday scaries" once the final game ends.

I think Ohio State might be money this year and hand Michigan an upset. I'm a big Penn State fan (cus a lot of my family lives in PA) but a cousin of mine playing high school football near Harrisburg is being scouted by Ohio and Penn and has said he would rather play at Ohio, so I might need to change my allegiences if he does. That would also be amazing for him. He's really fucking good.

Just had my second fantasy draft yesterday. I'm really feeling this team but it really relies on the Rams and Vikings being good. My 2 RBs and 2 WRs are Gurley/Cook and Thielen/Cooks so def the top two pieces of each offense, IMO. I'm very bullish on Gurley this year as well. Also confident Fournette is gonna dominate this year.

Penn State AND Patriots fan? Seems conflicting haha PSU really doesn't have a solid QB but that defense is top 10. Good for your cousin though, depending on his position he really can't go wrong with either school. I can see Ohio State upsetting Michigan too since that game is always a toss up.

I got Saquon/D Freeman and Allen/Woods. I agree on Gurley I think he is getting very overlooked this year because of the knee. I wanted to snag him in 2nd round but he was picked right before me. I'm not on the Fournette hype train this year though. I do have Dede Westbrook and with Foles in the backfield now I think it will be a great flex option.

In my other league I have Freeman/Fournette and Thomas/Woods, so we'll see how that goes. I grabbed Gurley round one in this league. I just couldn't let that one go. Dede could be a good move this year. For flex I have that dude on the Panthers (WR) on both teams. Also got Kareem Hunt in both leagues and he's still nasty, so that will be a nice flex option once he gets back. Tight end is Hunter Henry in both leagues. It should be an interesting season. I'm defensing champ in both leagues so I need to really show up. Nothing will compare to my last year team of Kamara/Connor/Tyreek/Thomas.

Somehow Saquon dropped to the 2nd pick (me) this year. Our defending champ drafted first and took MCM. Hoping there's no sophomore slump but time will tell. I also have James White and Mike Williams for flex so I have some good options. I like Hunt once he gets back too I had him last year and even though he fucked me for playoffs he was solid all year. For TE I have Cook and Goedert so not incredibly strong but should be consistent. I had Ebron last year so I was sitting pretty. I have my second draft next week and most likely won't get second pick so draft strategy will drastically change

Most Helpful
  1. Georgia 13-0, wins SEC vs Alabama and gets 1-seed on strong schedule

  2. Clemson 13-0, wins ACC

  3. Michigan 12-1, lose a game they shouldn’t but get love for beating osu and ND cleanly

  4. Texas 12-1, splits OU series (wins big 12 championship)

  5. Alabama 11-2, loses to Georgia and one other SEC team. Even at 12-1 I dont think they jump Texas and mich without SEC championship

  6. Utah 12-1, wins PAC 12 with sandbag schedule. PAC 12 complains

  7. Ohio state 10-2 - loses to both Michigan teams this year but looks good against everyone else

  8. Notre Dame 10-2 -loses to Michigan and Georgia

  9. OU 11-2, drop championship to TX and lose some other game because their defense shows up less than normal

  10. Oregon 11-2, loss to Utah and loss to either auburn, w-state or W

LSU, Iowa, UCF, Mich St other contenders for NY 6

Georgia over Clemson in championship

If A&M beats Clemson, is Clemson out of the CFP? Not sure how they would get a redeeming win with such a weak schedule / conference.

Is that just because of committee bias towards last year, or do you think there is a rational argument that a 12-1 Clemson acc champ gets in over, say, a 12-1 non-sec champ bama or 12-1 big 12 champ?

A 12-1, ACC Champ, Defending Champ, Clemson gets in no matter what, especially if they only lose close

Playoff prediction - Clemson, SEC champ (I'll take Bama over UGA), B12 champ unless Texas loses to LSU and OU in regular season but beats OU in championship, and B10 champ (I'll take OSU). If the B12 falters as in the example I give, I think the SEC gets another team in - probably Georgia, but possibly LSU if LSU can beat Texas and A&M.

An undefeated ND makes it, but I think they lose to Michigan and/or Georgia. Without a conference championship game, I don't think they make it in with 1 loss even if it was to SEC/B10 champ. I think the P12's only shot is having Washington go undefeated with Utah and Oregon both having 10+ wins.
