Does anyone work /know anyone who works in the IB Risk Solutions team at Barclays? Is this an IBD or a middle office team? What about compensation (especifically BONUSES): are they the same as for the rest of the IBD or smaller?
-Thanks!
RSG is in IBD, part of Global Finance. Base comp is the same for RSG as all other IBD groups, and bonuses for the group are probably standard (if not better since RSG's been raking in a ton of p&l for the bank)
And yes, it is a real client-facing group, totally different from RM.
Know from first-hand experience that this is front-office and that they have been very profitable lately(i.e. last quarter). Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think they deal with developing strategies to aid clients in hedging risks/exposures...
What is the pay like for those who move up? Anyone know what the compensation (base+bonus) is like for those at the Associate/VP/Director/MD level in IB Risk? Thanks in advance!

Middle office.
Smaller.
How do you know?
My friend works there. There's no such group as that. It's obviously risk management.

There isn't really a description, but it says it is a "PRODUCT" team... which means FO, I guess.
lol @ riddler
Definitely Front Office and certainly one of those groups that rakes in a ton of money as someone earlier mentioned. Solid team too.
It's a front office IBD product team.
Honestly, if some of you all don't know what you're talking about just be quiet.
Most profitable unit of the bank...
does
this is front office.
HF exit.
