LO/ HF compensation in Australia

I am currently interviewing with a long only, fund manager in Australia.
It is a small team but they are growing quickly.
I would be coming in as an analyst (1-2 years previous experience) with some CFAs.

What kind of compensation ranges should I expect for these kind of roles in Australia?

Not sure on AUM exactly, would be on the smaller side. I would be one of the only analysts. Performance has been pretty strong I think (not sure on exact numbers).

Came from buyside ER. Any (even) rough figures would be appreciated!

I mean its hard to say. There are shops that will pay anywhere from 100k to 1MM+ for analysts. A lot of it will be driven by performance and how it will be divided. Is your previous experience on sell-side ER? I'm not sure what 'buy-side ER' means. If former, I wouldn't expect too much. Also the philosophy of the fund will matter a lot.

Also how can you be sure if performance is strong without exact numbers? I would take everything funds tell you with a high level of doubt.
