Love Guinness - if you ever want to try another great stout that comes, in my opinion, try Left Handed Brewery's Milk Stout

Day 18 without sports and this is what it has come to. Can anyone with extensive beer knowledge please rank the most common beers with the appropriate banks, for example DB = The Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout.

Stout Rankings (Unofficial):

1) Guinness 2) Left Handed Brewery Milk Stout

Open to suggestions for 3rd place..

I haven't ever found a beer I could tolerate. I do have two bottles of Balvenie (Rare Cask and Caribbean Cask) that I have been depleting.

Open to suggestions for beer. I've tried the full range, light all the way to obscure IPAs.

I used to be in the same boat - it's an acquired taste. The more you drink the more you'll learn to differentiate/discover what you like.

Absolutely. Scotch, tequila, and rum. Rum being my personal favorite. I haven’t found any “normal” hard liquor I don’t enjoy. I’m sure there’s some odd flavored hot Cheetos vodka that would make me vomit, but outside of that I like just about all of them.

No but I got a friend from there that says that's all that everyone drinks there. In college my friends and I drank Busch lattes when we pooled all our money for beer for the weekend and it was the cheapest, until we had enough to buy kegs.

If you like Tree House check out Greater Good in Worcester. They have a bunch of great New England IPAs

Agreed - actually drinking less now than normal during weekdays. Not going out with coworkers, dates, etc, has contributed. First week of WFH I did drink more than normal (think this was more celebration of not having a long commute) but have dropped consumption over the past few weeks as quarantine has set in.

Massachusetts based. Usually would do Fiddlehead IPA after work at South Station which is based out of Vermont but can't get it at home so have been doing Wally IPA (Wachusett Brewing, MA) and Pulp Daddy New England IPA (Greater Good, MA) . As we move into warmer weather and my back porch opens up I will move to some mixed drinks. Mostly Titos, Cran, splash of OJ and any fruit/berry mix And for a Saturday of pure day drinking: Bud Light

Was up in Vermont before shit hit the fan and brought back a load of Alchemist and fiddlehead that has been coming in handy. Well stocked with heiney, Newcastle, pilsner urquell and some recent greenpoint cans.

I miss getting it from the taps in Boston! Never going to complain about my commute again after this is over. Cheers

You are right - quarantine without beer would be fucked.

Stella is the go to, but when I'm feeling cheap gotta go with Budweiser - The King of Beer. Drinking a tallboy from a frozen glass as we speak.

As much as I'm tempted to, I avoid it all day until 1030-11pm hits. Nothing better than cracking open a much deserved cold one, Something to look forward to amongst all this bs.

Elysian Space dust which is an I.P.A or Goose Island which is also an I.P.A too. The best I.P.A that I have heard of is Heady Topper which was ranked #1 on beer advocate. I wish i could get my hands on some of that stuff but it so rare but Dogfish head I.P.A will do. Yes, I do like hoppy I.P.A if you haven't noticed.

Hate to burst you bubble but as someone who has had heady topper--I can say that its good but there are dozens of beers our there on its level. I think it is considered the best because it is so difficult to get your hands on. Definitely worth a try if you're up in Vermont, but it isn't life changing in my opinion.

If you're in NY, a fun friends trip on a long weekend (or solo tbh) would be to do a beer drive up thru western mass and vermont, maybe bounce over to portland. Just load tf up and come home with a great stock.

Dayman?

Definety agree with most of you on here, especially the New England folk. Any light beer is fun to put down, but its also nice to sip on a couple IPAs and catch an easy buzz. Favorite IPA for me for the past year or so has Been Jai Alai from Cigar City Brewing. A 6 pack at 7.5% for ~$12 is a great deal too.

I actually had a virtual beer pong tournament with a bunch of my friends through google hangouts on Saturday and it was a blast. Had some Bud Tallboys for that and it hit the spot

The only alcohol I drink is vanilla extract, but I've heard good things about Yuengling lager

I’m a fun guy. Obviously I love the game of basketball. I mean there’s more questions you have to ask me in order for me to tell you about myself. I'm not just gonna give you a whole spill... I mean, I don't even know where you're sitting at
