Sports Leagues as an IB Analyst
Hi Everyone,
Does anyone here play organized sports during the summer or winter months? I just graduated and have a FT position setup in IB. Being a college athlete I am interested in continuing athletics by joining a rugby or potentially a full contact football league in NYC (doubt that will happen anytime soon though and not looking to get a concussion with football). If anyone does anything like this do you mind sharing how you schedule your workouts and if you are able to play organized sports. If you do, do you mind sharing with me the leagues and organizations that are available for football, rugby and ice hockey.
Thanks
Thought this was gonna be a thread comparing different types of analyst personalities to American sports leagues at first. Was a bit disappointed tbh
i'd actually be down to do that
we’ve been waiting 2 days for this... just take a stab at it
I do equity research but it’s tough. I have about an hour to lift and do cardio a day or play sports. I work out pretty much all weekend.
There's a few informal basketball / soccer leagues at the banks downtown (GS, C, DB). Mostly S&T dudes playing in the evening after markets close. Analyst through MD, usually organized through massive email chains. I'm sure if you bring it up enough you'll find someone to loop you in.
