Just took it, I´m super high in spatial memory (rotating stuff) and okay in verbal and numeric memory (thanks adhd). But I really, really suck at face recognition and planning lmaoooo. Bloody limeys probably think I´m some kinda sociopath now.
I took it.
Got max on 3D Spatial Reasoning (Top 5%) and Mental Rotation (Top 5%).
Mid Level at Spacial Intelligence (20-30%), Spatial Working Memory (10-20%), Verbal Reasoning (10-20%) and Verbal Comprehension (20-30%).
Average at Short Term Memory (bottom 50%), Verbal Working Memory (40-50%), Attention (40-50%) and Emotional Discrimination (40-50%).
Below average at Medium-term Memory (Bottom 50%) and Planning (Botton 50%).
Are you me?
I'm thinking a lot of the people on this forum will score the same since we're all drawn to similar industries.
Very similar results for me
I don't need a test to tell you I'm pretty fucking dumb.
Is there a negative Mensa? For exceptionally stupid people?
There's two- The Democratic party and Republican party. Both are in the US
I make Chris Griffin look like Jim Simons.
Chris made out with hot celebrities in HS and I didn’t. you tell me who is the smart pants.
Prospective memory (short-term memory): bottom 50%
Spatial intelligence: 30%-20% range
Planning: bottom 50%
Verbal working memory: 30%-20% range
Spatial working memory: 20%-10% range
Verbal reasoning: bottom 50% (not native in English so screw this part haha)
Attention: 40%-30% range
Recognizing faces: bottom 50%
Verbal comprehension: bottom 50% (again, not native)
Mental rotation: top 5%
Spatial reasoning: bottom 50%
Mid term memory: 30%-40%
So yeah I am pretty average
This thing was a fuckin marathon - honestly tired me out...nonetheless, got top 5% in spatial reasoning and mental rotation (just found a simple way to focus on 3 block and make sure they had the same pattern, anyone else?) and scored average/below in memory exercises.
Yeah I had a similar strategy and got top percentile in that. When it got to the survey questions I just picked a random choice . Then it asked "Did you try to answer these questions honestly?"
NOPE lol.
Same lol that was way too fucking long
That's what I did. It took me like 3 seconds for each one.
top percentile (2d rotation) top 5% digital span, spatial span
Worst ones were 3D rotation and emotional discrimination
Seems like I fit the stereotype perfectly...
Top 5% in verbal working memory, spatial working memory, mental rotation, 3D spatial reasoning
10-20% in spatial intelligence, planning, emotional discrimination
20-30% in medium memory, verbal comprehension, target detection, verbal reasoning
30-40% in prospective memory
Clearly I’m not great with words
above average in EVERYTHING?
Impressive
Ah thanks man I defo got lucky with some of the word ones tho
Only one I got below 50% on was emotional discrimination. Life of a quant.
To fit the stereotype perfectly you would be wearing coca cola glasses (and hence done poorly on 3D rotation) also lol
I have taken the Stanford-Binet intelligence test before and got 132, which I think is the threshold for Mensa. To me this doesnt really mean anything. I've taken other tests that put me in the range of 110-125.
I've met a couple/few Mensa people -- -arrogant fucks.
I feel personally attacked. How can you judge me just because I'm a Mensa member, which makes me smarter than 98% of the population? Despite having a degree from a top university, the fact that I make more money than most and date way hotter women, it does not make me arrogant at all. I'm probably one of the most humble guys I know. I'm like THE most down to earth human being.
Did best in verbal reasoning, verbal working memory, and mental rotation. Did worst in emotional discrimination.
Intelligent enough to not waste 30 mins of my life taking some meaningless test on the internet https://media1.giphy.com/media/dWfkLpnrZN3QQ/giphy-downsized.gif" alt="deeznuts" />
cracked me up !
I can't believe Covid has gotten to the point where I'm taking an "intelligence" test online and posting my results on WSO... fuck

Should I be taking this test? I don't want to feel dumb in front of you all or realize I am dumber than a sack of roasted peanuts...
This test is not reliable, right? Can I put this on my resume if I do well? Do you think people will recognize this test from "Prospect in IB-M&A" and think I am well-versed to prevail in the field of Investment Banking? Please tell me.
Psychiatrists, "Get your shots fellas, line up and get your shots."
1 or 2 of those verbal comprehension words I've never seen before in my life. Is it because the British emphasize a different English vocabulary or because I'm an idiot
Thought the vocab was pretty tough too as someone who usually does really well on the verbal section.
is this actually an intelligence test or is it one of those psych experiments where its actually testing for something else? like reaction/response to getting right/wrong answers, subtle biases, patience, etc.?
Top-5% - Spatial Working Memory; Mental Rotation; 3D Spatial Reasoning 10-20% - Attention 20-30% - Spatial Intelligence; Verbal Working Memory; Verbal Comprehension 30-40% - Planning 40-50% - Emotional Discrimination Bottom 50% - Short-term memory; Medium-term memory; Verbal Reasoning
Interesting test, and I'm curious how the scoring contributes to the algorithm. For the word memory tests I got 20/24 and 19/24, so kinda surprised how that score was reflected as bottom-50%. On the other hand, I messed up on the spatial working memory test quite a bit so not sure how I got top-5% there.
Interesting how all of us score top percentile in mental mapping / working memory. I wonder how that's reflected on the job – guess we all make pretty slides from scratch?
Not surprising we're below average in memory / emotional discrimination (obvs). Surprising we're all only slightly above average in planning / attention.
That took way too long.
Short-term memory - Bottom 50% Spatial Intelligence - 20 - 30% Planning - 30 - 40% Verbal Working Memory - 30% - 40% Spatial Working Memory - 10 - 20% Verbal Reasoning - 40-50% Attention - 10-20% Emotional Discrimination - Bottom 50% Verbal Comprehension - 40 - 50% Mental Rotation - Top 5% 3D Spatial Reasoning - Top 5% Medium term memory - Bottom 50%
(I think my memory were bottom 50% cause I may have not seen the first couple of words that popped up...)
What use is 3D Spatial Reasoning and Mental Rotation???
