Best Quant Recruiting Firms?
Currently looking to find opportunties for analytic positions, ideally at a HF. I've been browsing efinancialcareers, the CFA Institute Careers Page, and LinkedIn mainly. Most of the postings are through third-party recruiting/headhunter firms, which I have a very skeptical mindset towards. There's a high likelihood that 1) these postings either get sent to the void, 2) the postings in actuality are not active and so the recrutier just collects them, or 3) the posting is available and the recruiter just sends on your behalf. It has made job searching for these positions all the more elusive so I was wondering if anybody had any particularly positive experiences with different firms or resources that either landed you a quant job or at least initiated a conversation with the hiring company. I do think it's worthwhile to go through this route, for example Citadel has postings consistently online, but I think the most targeted opportunities happen through recruiters
Alexander Chapman, Selby Jennings, Quantitative Systems are ones that I am not very keen on; anybody have good vibes on other ones? Thanks in advance.
Avoid Westbourne. Had a horrible experience with them. At first they pretend to be professional but they are the absolute worst I have ever seen.
I have some good experience with carisbrook.
lol, westbourne are absolutely terrible. They pretend to be quit personable and help you out etc but then ghost you for someone else.
Surprisingly never heard of Westbourne. I do find London headhunters to be more jovial and of higher quality (maybe they are just older) than the ones in the US
Could be. But be aware that even if they pretend to be your best friend, they only have their own interest in mind. Question everything they say and think carefully whom you trust. Personally I hate this "I'm your best buddy" style and all the noise around it. I much prefer if they just tell me about whatever opportunity they might have and then I tell them if I am interested or not.
avoid hunter bond too
