why do they have to do the middle initial it makes it so much harder hahah

Was told by HR in early July apps open the 11th. Following up with them tomorrow to see what’s up.

Internationals, fyi:

"You will graduate with an undergraduate or post graduate Degree in or before June 2022. Currently hold a 3.2 cumulative GPA or overseas equivalent. You will not require visa sponsorship for employment in the US including OPT and F-1 visa. Be fluent in English and be legally permitted to work in the US".

They sent me mine a week after applying. Then they just sent me the job simulation 12 days after submitting and passing the immersive online assessment.

You don’t necessarily prepare for it lol It particularly took me about an hour to an hour and a half (I was double checking my answers like crazy) to complete, and it was quite daunting at times throughout. There were 5 sections each with about 5-10 questions and 2 of those sections required math/problem solving. The other 3 did not and only required you to rank 5 statements regarding how you’d respond to a given situation for each question in those sections.

For the math/problem solving, realize that you’re going to have to do some problem solving with the data and information given to you! For example, they may ask a question that requires you to think outside of the box a bit and combine multiple chunks of data to eventually reach your answer. I don’t have any specific examples bc I just simply don’t remember, but you should be fine as long as you really put in the time during that hour or so to perform calculations and thoroughly analyze what the question is actually asking. It’ll feel like completing a long a** assignment, but you need to keep a positive mindset through it all bc you don’t want to lose motivation halfway through and allow that to distract you, potentially impacting your performance.

Good luck tho, you’ll (most likely) do fine! There’s also no time limit, so you over-thinkers (guilty, as charged) have all the time you can wish for to reread your responses at least 15 times over because apparently the last 14 times just weren’t enough.

Crossing my fingers that I did well🤞

Anyone applied to AM? Just finished Job Simulation and wonder about the timeline.

Received a similar email this am. I've been going through the process for almost 2 months now.

Got this too this morning, wonder if this means we are going to get first rounds sometime over the next couple weeks.

does anybody have any suggestions for researching transactions for HSBC Securities US (Basically any NY office banking deals)? I can't find any info on any of their millions of different websites, and their PitchBook profile doesn't have an incredible amount of stuff to go on either. There def are some deals I could choose to research on pitch book, but I'm wondering if anybody knows of a better resource for that particular office (or any US office honestly)

"We are pleased to confirm that you have successfully met the minimum benchmarks for the selection processes that you have completed so far.
Your application will now be reviewed in more detail and we will advise you as soon as possible if you are invited to the next stage of the application process.
We are really keen to hear your feedback on the Job Simulation assessment and your HSBC journey thus far."

Anyone else finish the 2 assessments and get this email? What does this mean?

Got this a few weeks back on the 13th similar to others in this thread. Haven't heard anything further yet though. Might reach out to my recruiting contact to see if they have a timeline

Had a first round interview around 2 weeks ago, I think they are organizing superdays now

I'm not sure if they're going to do another superday, but there was one this past friday for Markets summer 2021

Has anybody got invite for NY-IB superday planned for later this week? Had 2nd round late last week and wondering if I've been dinged since I haven't heard back yet

have decisions been finalized? I applied pretty late(around mid-October) and was notified that I passed the assessment about a week ago. Have to make decisions soon about next summer so just wondering if I still have any chance.

I just got an email saying that the positions for corporate banking were all filled.  This was less than a week after getting an email saying I passed the job sim.
