PE Analyst Recruitment
Interested if anyone has done an analyst program at an MF and how they landed that role. Timeline, process info, and advice would be helpful!

Summer during IB SA, interviews a lot more in depth than banking (at least in my experience)
Any advice for interviews (LBO modeling, case studies, ect)? And how did you land a PE analyst interview?
I don't think any of the MFs make you take a modeling test for the analyst interviews, but do have a good understanding of LBOs and their levers (and know how to do paper). I would take a look at consulting case guides. My biggest advice is that you should be reading as much as you can about companies and investing, not for the sake of the interview but for the sake of actually learning and developing an investor mindset (and interview performance will follow). Landing the interview was pretty straightforward, just reached out to the firm and they got me in process.
Also best practices for taking these interviews during IB SA?
Feel free to PM me - I was a summer analyst at a MF, returned as an analyst for the full 2-year program
What did you do after the 2 year program?
I went to a mid-size (~$1-5b) SM HF, public markets seems to be the most common path for a lot of PE analysts
Why is that? Is there anything bad with going A2A from PE analyst role?
