Mid-tier BB vs EBs in London

Would you rather choose a mid-BB like Citi/Barc/CS or EB like Evercore/Centerview/PJT for full time in London? I know there are some older threads about this but they are pretty outdated and I don't know if EBs are actually gaining market share in Europe.

Alright, thanks a lot! So it would depend on the respective team I guess? Would you say you could definitely get the same looks from PE recruiters or should you just choose EBs for higher pay?

In my opinion BBs still dominate in Europe and you get exposed to a wider set of finance transactions (M&A, ECM, LevFin, DCM). But if you are desperate for pay got for EBs, although expect to work longer hours.

A top team a DB (ie LevFin/Industrials) is better than an average/bad team at an EB and vice-versa. So pick on what sectors you are keen on.
