MS AIP Interview help

Hi all,
i have an interview with Private "Equity Fund of Funds analyst position with Morgan Stanley Alternative Investments Partners" next week. I really want to nail this interview and for some odd reason I have had a ton of interviews with MS but somehow I never move forward with them....its been frustrating as i don't think i have interviewed with any company as many number of times and also had some solid interview..... for instance, sometime back my phone interview for another position with them lasted 1.5hrs and yet the guy didn't bring me forward! i'm a little paranoid this time and want to ensure that i can make it work.....please help!

-suggestions on what kind of technical things to prep for
-how to answer qns like which investors do u follow (must my investment style fit with their exactly?)
-what are some great books on investments?

Anything you feel can possibly help! I really appreciate your help and time!

yes this is a part of MSIM but this is first round for me since this is fund of funds of their private equity grp in MSIM...i had a just MSIM first round sometime back with the 1.5hr phone interview but the guy didn't let me move forward! i guess i lacked havin a investing guru like what he asked me about.....what do u think worked for u this far? i really wanna get this!

yea mine was a phone interview but that was for NYC and what shocked me was that when it was 3 times the stated time and it still didn't work out....but this is for the philly office and also on the phone...any suggestions on types of qns/what u think worked?

Most of my interview was behavioral, and I also cold called people within MSIM to find out more about the division. I think that worked for me. When you were interviewing for MSIM in NYC, did you say that you wanted the investments track?

yea i did....though mine was for a specific investment team and so there wasn't much room for movement. you know my only concern for cold-calling has been that i don't want them to think i don't know what i applied for especially since this is FT....was ur cold calling just interest based or did u tell them that you were interviewing?

thats awesome....i think its a great idea though i'll wait to know the name of my interviewer since i don't want to mistakenly call him and make things awkward...also why kind of qns did u ask? -environment? -job? -people? sorry i'm asking you so many questions but i really want to put my best foot forward this time! thanks =)
