JP Morgan Lifts Dividend, Plans $12B Buyback
What do you think about this? Interesting that they didn't start buying back stock cheaper than this. I'd love to see shitty results from the stress tests, just so the Fed looks bad. Definitely a vote of confidence for the financials though. Anyone smarter than myself (i.e. anyone) want to chime in on this and maybe explain the timing?
Dimon's timing was to goose stocks into the close ahead of the stress test announcements.

I'm wondering if a guy like Dimon (given he has one of the healthiest banks and probably wanted to do this anyway) with his connections to gov. was encouraged to go ahead and release this news ahead of Vik & Co. "failing" the stress tests to cushion the blow. Probably not, but I like the timing anyway.
