How did Julien get in there?

I think Julien is on WSO because this was funny and didn't deserve MS.

While general attractiveness is definitely a "hidden" screening criteria at many places, don't be entirely fooled by these pictures. Almost every PE firm hires professional photographers to take the photos. The photos are then airbrushed, moles are removed, teeth are whitened, etc. However, I don't think I've ever seen a "fat" person in PE. I suspect the focus and drive that enables people to get into PE tends to keep them fit and healthy as well.

Then you've never met Guy Hands...that man loves to eat.

I Can Has Cheezburger?

OP you just figured that out? For most client-facing roles, banks love to recruit good looking people both men and women given that they are smart and can do the job. It is all about packaging and branding. :P

So people who make/have a lot of money can pay to have themselves portrayed in the best possible way in a photo?

Color me shocked.

I have no idea how any of these ppl r more attractive than "normal"? None of those pictures are any different than your standard graduation photo, so apparently you guys would agree that every high school graduate is "attractive" also

Welcome to the world of finance. I'd say the average person in BB IBD or S&T is considerably better looking than the average person for most other industries. Unattractive people are not unheard of and there are a lot of average-looking people, but the distribution is asymmetric and certainly skewed towards better looking people.

Thank you, Compbanker and Human for the replies.

I honestly hadn't thought of attractiveness as being a even a small factor in PE recruiting. Some world we live in.

You prefer banging ugly chicks?

A lot of females in IBD or PE lose their tight bodies due to the hours and I've found that the few I've hooked up with were bad lays on average. Also, maybe just coincidence but the two worst makeouts I've ever had were with IBD/PE girls. Just uncoordinated awkwardness. One of which bit me by accident and then ditched the bar out of embarrassment. Be smart - date women in fashion, marketing, etc. High finance girls are a waste of time.

Nobody cares about makeouts.

I have to agree with dating fashion girls. Get them when they are young. College girls from New School, FIT and SVA are hot if you are in NYC area. Who wants to talk about work after work with banker chicks.

Unforseen:
LOL fashion girls are the biggest money grabbing whore out there. Nurses, teachers is where is at

I am well aware of that. I never let them know how much I make and I always split the bill. They can't squeeze a penny out of me even if they wanted to. :P
