Would you hire an alcoholic?
Someone out there is bad mouthing me to alumni. Someone called me an alcoholic. What can I do to stop this???

What did you do to have someone bad mouth you to alumni?
I got drunk and blacked out like 20 times in college. They are also badmouthing me to grad programs. I don't know what I did to deserve this.
so youre an accountant?
F**k off.
So before it was because of vyvanse and now alcohol. Something does not check out here or maybe you're just trolling
Gotta pump those numbers up champ
You only blacked out 20 times in college? https://media1.giphy.com/media/YmQLj2KxaNz58g7Ofg/giphy.gif" alt="rookie numbers" />
Tell everyone you’ve started attending AA and are working a serious program
Add blow to the mix for enhanced performance
Nothing wrong with a little soju and blow while you calculate how wacc the next elections are going to be
You blacked out 20 times in college? You're not by chance named Brett, and recently got a peachy government job?
Do you like beer, Senator, or not?
Check out the big brain on Brett!
uh why is this so accurate
1) Is there any tangible proof of your behavior? an arrest, write up to HR...or pictures. If not its 2019 bro. gossip is gossip and people are always going to be jealous. if their is not video proof or a proffesional document of your behavior it will not stop you.
Welcome to finance, my friend. You will probably fit in well here.
Can you be successful in banking (analyst level) without drinking?
I think the better question would be to ask yourself if you would hire someone who openly bad mouths his peers? Its very poor etiquette to bad mouth other people and I think most people take that kind of feedback with a grain of salt, unless its during some kind of reference check.
Try to get closer to your alumni class and show them you are a nice guy... A round of drinks on you could be a good way
I mean...most of us are functioning alcoholics to some degree... Why does the guy bad mouthing you feel it's ok to be a snitch? I thought everyone learned that lesson by 1st grade.
if the alumni are telling you about it they're probably not taking it seriously.
if someone told me that about someone, I'd respond: oh, did he get a DUI? stomach pump? what? not even arrested? soooo where's the issue? oh, he blacked out a few times in college? 20? that's it? you know that's like 2.5x per semester, right? sometimes I'd do that over a 2 week period. why are you telling me this? click
I have to agree with thebrofessor here. Why anyone would care that you got drunk in college is beyond me. The only context I can imagine caring about this is if you weren't showing up to work because you were getting drunk. Alternatively, if you were so hungover that you couldn't perform at work or were throwing up in the bathroom, I'd have a problem with that. Otherwise, I'd probably remind whomever told me this that snitches get stitches. Either way, I'd never hire someone who was trying to make someone else look bad (presumably to make them look better by comparison). After all, if you're badmouthing a stranger to another stranger, why would I suppose you wouldn't badmouth me behind my back? I don't need people like that in my life.
oh a completely unrelated note, I would love to blackout with you someday
Yeah, seriously. If drinking in college was a disqualifying factor for working in finance, ain't no body getting a job. "We can't hire him. He drank in college." blink. blink. "Um, okay..... "
Being so hungover you have to throw up vs being so hungover you can't perform at work are two different things. I've definitely had team members come in looking like death but if their work product is fine...
I would not hire you if you weren't an alcoholic
I will not hire a FUCKOHOLIC.
Stop drinking.
Perhaps he's just spreading your gospel to alumni. "Homes can calculate an equity beta while fully blacked out yo'. My boy got mad alchi skills..."
Sorry but I LOLed so hard at this
if you can't figure out how to solve this why should anyone hire you
office politics are going to get a lot more intense than people saying you're a drunk in college
Was it Sigma Chi Brad doing the bad mouthing? Must've been what happened at formal....
take this nonsense to Bro bible
Calm down Moran, the guys are just messing with ya, get back to the Goat House - party's already started yo!
This only helps your case of landing a job.
You are dumb.
