Equity-based compensation
Some questions for those of you who have received equity-based compensation:
(1) At what level of all-in compensation does an equity component usually kick in?
(2) What % of your total compensation is equity?
(3) What is the typical vesting schedule? Do you receive some shares immediately?
Lastly, more personal in nature, do most people sell their shares immediately upon vesting or hold onto them? Recognize it's personal preference, but to me, seems like you would rather have the cash since you could always repurchase your company's shares thereafter if you so desired.
