Yeah I think you could pull those off. But to be sure, it's a very mature, very traditional look for a young man so make sure the rest of your wardrobe follows along or it can start to look a little goofy.
I would not recommend buying cheap wholecut shows. They will fall apart really fast. Instead, spend the same money on a pair of better (albeit less slick) shoes.
GOOD wholecut shoes that will last are $1200 - $2000.

Thank you. It's very difficult to design and manufacture a whole cut shoe, and also thinking on some comfort and resistance (cause the metatarsus bend suffer a lot of tension, and you can't reinforce it and model it with different pieces sewn)
