Advice on Growth Equity Analyst Recruiting

Hello! I'm an incoming BB/EB SA that is interested in GE opportunities for FT. My original plan was to do the traditional 2 years of IB and then exit to GE/tech PE, but the increasing number of Analyst programs have caught my eye. It would be great to get some advice from people on how I should navigate my career. Specifically interested in GA/Insight and the MF Growth shops.

I know sourcing is a major part...how much of the total work is sourcing? Is this just cold-calling or are there other methods? Do analysts get do due diligence/modeling through the deal process? Would my experience be limited to cold-calling in Growth?

Went through the interview process at a bunch of GE shops (and accepted an offer) for SA role for next summer. Almost all of the firms explicitily said that the majority of the analyst program is sourcing based. Usually due-diligence and modeling will be only required if one of the companies you sourced is deemed "attractive" by higher-ups.
