BlackRock 2025 SA

Haven't seen a thread for this yet so here it is. Anyone have any insights on the process?

Applications opened last week and it says they'll start reviewing applications in May. As soon as I applied I received a link to the hirevue. There's one hirevue for each position you apply to (max. 2).

Based on the most helpful WSO content, the BlackRock Summer Analyst hiring process typically involves several steps, including the initial application, HireVue video interviews, and sometimes, super day interviews. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect, especially considering your mention of the HireVue step:

  1. Application Submission: You've already completed this step by submitting your application. BlackRock usually reviews applications on a rolling basis, even though they've mentioned they will start reviewing in May. It's good to apply early.

  2. HireVue Video Interviews: As you've noted, you receive a HireVue link shortly after applying. This is a crucial step in the process. The HireVue typically consists of behavioral questions, and you might be asked why you're interested in BlackRock, why you chose your major, and how it will help you in your desired role. Prepare to discuss your skills, experiences, and how they align with the role you're applying for. Each position you apply to will have its own HireVue, allowing you to tailor your responses to the specific role.

  3. Super Day Interviews: Candidates who perform well in the HireVue interviews may be invited to Super Day interviews, which are more in-depth and involve multiple interview rounds with team members. These can be conducted virtually or in-person, depending on the circumstances.

  4. Offer Stage: Successful candidates will receive an offer to join the Summer Analyst program. Offers typically come after the Super Day interviews and can vary in timing, depending on the division and the specific timeline of the recruitment process.

To prepare for the HireVue and potential Super Day interviews, focus on articulating your interest in finance and BlackRock, understanding the division you're applying to, and being able to discuss your experiences and skills confidently. Reviewing common behavioral interview questions and practicing your responses can also be beneficial.

Remember, the key to success in the BlackRock hiring process is preparation, professionalism, and a clear understanding of why you want to work at BlackRock and in the specific role you're applying for.

They get over 100k applications for these spots.  Good luck guys!

I received this in my email a few days ago: Thank you for applying to the 2025 Summer Internship Program - [pretend role name and location is here]. Your application has advanced to the next review phase. You will continue to receive email updates as our review progresses.

This came in my inbox about a week or two after my HireVue. It's been radio silence ever since. I'm not familiar with BlackRock's interviewing habits. What does this mean?
