Cold Emails to Network and Looking Desperate

Anyone have thoughts on looking desperate when networking? I’ve sent a cold email to almost every DOR and analyst in the biotech sector trying to break in. I have an MD and think I’m competitive but no traction in 9 months. Does this seem too desperate to do?

What? We got random kids with biology degrees interviewing for our team. You sure you been trying hard enough?

I’m also an MD in finance (biotech ER). Shoot me a PM. Just interviewed some rando kid from tufts - would rather have an MD on the team.

Edit - doctor of Medicine not managing director (yet) only an associate so don’t get your hopes up.
