Equity Research (ER) Brand vs Analyst

What would you choose?Assuming, same sector (TMT or HC), associate level (lateral), same city (NYC).

  • European BB (DB, CS, UBS) - non II ranked analyst. Bank is going downhill.
  • EB - non II ranked analyst, M&A advisory focused shop, but not too strong in ECM.
  • MM - II ranked analyst, lower tier MM shop with mediocre ECM.
 

Depends on your long term goal - but i would say go with the Analyst that is most respected and who's team you like. If you have some buyside contacts in the same sector, ask what their opinion is on that one analyst, and the other two as well. If its HC (specifically lifesciences), send me a PM and i might be able to opine
