If you just joined and this is your first year, will depend obviously of your team and dynamic with your boss but it could range from 5k-20k probably. Nothing comparable to IB.
First years are generally fixed, but some banks it varies from Y1... at my bank, it varies and yes working for a "hot" sector + II ranked analyst does help with bonus
think avg bonus for first years was ~30-40k this year
Browse through this forum and you should find a lot of explanation. But here's the short version
London comp was set kind of equal to NYC when GBP was much stronger against USD. Now GBP has weakened during the last few years
Even then the comp is not that much lower compared to other industries. Like the delta between banking salaries between London and NYC is much lower than the delta for consulting or the likes. In the end, it kind of trickles down to the PPP difference between both cities to an extent
As an extension of the above point - Lack of other high paying opportunities, especially in tech. The firms know they pay the highest and that too by a margin and doesn't feel the need to adjust it for thr FX difference that has happened
That said, there are still a lot of US based MFs who pay your salary in USD and that equals NYC pay.

£40-£50k over the past couple of years, however not sure with the latest salary increases.
Really? These numbers look like M&A bonuses. Always thought ER bonuses were lower.
Yes this is for IB, not 100% sure for ER

Got it! Any particular sectors where bonuses are usually higher? Working for a top ranked analyst should imply a higher bonus?
Numbers have changed a lot post-pandemic...

Bump!
Some banks have offered flat bonuses to 1st years regardless of performance or sector. 15-25k from what I've heard.
Worth noting that two of the banks you've mentioned have raised base for ER, so idk how this will affect bonuses.
JPM ER at 75k now
Not true on GS, from first hand experience first year is fixed but at 30%.
GS is now 70 + 50% for 2022... was 50+ 30k bonus last year and 30% fixed bonus a couple years ago
What’s GS new ER base?
Should be 65 along with IB and the rest of markets.
70 now with another bump
Why are London bonuses/comp so much lower than US?

even bigger gap in big 4....
grads in audit in UK secondary cities (Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds) on £24k base... London grads on £30k... vs NY $90k / Houston $70k
