They're very good, very concise and grounded but also gets repetitive as shit at times lol. He been juggling the same themes for decades. I think that says a lot about how mastering some very basic principles and applying them to your career can take you places.

I'm also starting to question Howard's kinda 'sus' role at Oaktree, if he even has a huge role these days. Man seems like he's just travelling all over the world these days giving lectures and promoting his memos and books. Man churns out a new media appearance/ podcast/ memo/ interview nearly once a week or so these days lol. Oaktree professionals seem like a chill enough bunch from interviews and media appearances, but I speculate if his absence from the operations of the firm leads to any internal power consolidation by the MDs lol. Wonder why he doesn't take up the CIO role at Oaktree - it seems like a role that he'd love to do. His absence from actual hands-on investing these days always lingers on the back of my mind and is smtg that bugs me when I listen to his stuff. To put it real bluntly: I wonder if he's become more of a celebrity than a hardcore investor
