Advice you would give to a freshman/thoughts on a finance degree in Canada

Hello all,

I've been admitted to Ivey AEO (entry into HBA later) and I'm on the edge of accepting my offer, I have one issue however, I do not know if in the current economy (tons of intl students graduating with Bcomms and BBAs from diploma mills in Canada) I should pursue a Finance degree over something like mathematics or engineering where I can attempt to leverage it or pursue an MBA later on
I also wanted to know, for a freshman in university what advice would you have wished you received yourself? I'm excited to start and I'm looking forward to any advice you guys have
