How to renege on Spring Week offer?

Signed a contract for an EB ~2 months ago, but got an offer from a different EB that I prefer. How should I go about reneging on the first firm? I acknowledge that I will probably be blacklisted regardless, but just wondering what the standard / polite way is for this sort of thing.

say something came up and you are no longer able to attend but thank them for the consideration. they've gotten the email enough to know what happened. you're correct you will be blacklisted but not like this is a junior summer offer either. Not sure how that would look for a spring week
