Okay to put "Investment Banking Summer Analyst" in this case?
Hello,
I recently got an offer for an IB summer intern at a top-tier IB in South Korea, which is why the timeline for recruiting was pretty chill. Anyways, the thing is this internship is only for sophomores and thus will not be considered as a gateway for full-time offers (so it's not like the traditional junior SA gig in America). In this case, is writing "Investment Banking Summer Analyst" on resume misleading? If it is, should I just write in a different way like "Investment Banking Intern"?
Thanks.
i dont see anything wrong with that. you are in investment banking and you are a summer analyst
Ah thanks. Just wanted to make sure.
What's the title on your offer letter?
It says sophomore internship. But in Korea as far as I know banks don't use "Summer Analyst" and I thought putting "Sophomore Intern" on resume would look weird. I guess I'll just go with IB investment banking summer analyst. Thanks!
are you a korean citizen? very interested in this and would appreciate a PM. also i think IB SA is totally fine, sometimes firms even include the title in the offer letter!
Yes I am. PMed

Investment Banking Summer Analyst is just fine; don't over think it.

Korean monkey at a target here, distressed & seeking for help.
May I PM you?
Of course.
