Difficulty of lateralling to HK PE from London IBD?

Hey, would love to hear your experience if you managed to lateral from London IB to Hong Kong PE.
How difficult is it/is it easy to get stuck in London? What kind of firm did you end up at? Were you able to adjust to the PE business environment in Asia?

Thanks a ton

HK is getting slaughtered. Most Greater China-focused teams will not be hiring. You can see a lot of talents going to GPs in the Middle East. Your best bet would be Family Offices that have very flexible mandates.

As a BB IBD analyst in London. I want to return to HK at any cost as soon as possible due to family matters. Which kinds of roles should I target then. Is MM PE feasible?
