S&T Bonus/Comp Thread 2023

I feel we should start keeping tabs on the Sales & Trading comp numbers as much as we can given the current environment. I understand there are less of us than IBD, but that's the whole point of this post. We need data. Sounds like it's rough out there for IBD but seems to be some demand in S&T for solid help. Is comp rising? Are desks increasing headcount even though software has been reducing the need for countless analysts? What's the temp out there for y'all?

Please share any comp info - quarterly bonus, annual bonus, all in projected comp, whatever you want... I know comp structures can vary wildly here

Geog: Not NYC

S&T: Trading

Eq/FI/Comm: FI

YoE: not yet 2yrs

Comp: should be around 185k-200k all-in, work 50hrs a week no weekends

Bump. Interested in pursuing S&T post grad, hence the question "headcount increase/decrease on desks due to software availability" is definitely something I would like to know as well.

Thanks for the response, appreciate it. If I interpret correctly, the whole point is S&T will never die, and can be one of the best career paths in finance if you're into the markets and you succeed, right?

I don't see desks reducing headcount due to software abilities increasing anytime soon, maybe in like 5-10 years. I see ChatGBP-like resources making analysts lives 3x easier once GS rolls out their own regulated version, maybe in like 1-2 years.

I don't think this is much help given the fact that I literally just started a couple weeks ago and everyone knows BB's base salaries but I'm here for the transparency wave anyway.

This isn't mine but what my buddy told me about last year:
