Young Traders?

I'm 17 and I became interested in trading around Nov of 2012. I made a friend on a chat site and we have been consulting each other on trades ever since. Are there many traders our age? Specifically ones that would be willing to discuss trading and share ideas?

I am 18, going on 19, and have been trading currency for the past 2.5 years. It really gives you a great sense of financial independence. If you have any interest in the forex markets, please PM me and we can talk further about getting a chat set up.

it is strange how all of them have similar literary style and have low banana points

Are you implying that because of our young age, lack of "bananas," and literary style we shouldn't be posting on here? That we shouldn't try to get ahead in life? To imply such a thing seems to go against the grain of this forum. That being that the users are here to learn, teach, and give encouragement.

Lol. I am implying that most of the posters are of the same person

I've been lurking around, but I created an account just to post. I am an 18 year old in college, who has been actively trading for the past 6 years. I would love to share some ideas. PM me if interested

Today I will do what others won't, so tomorrow I can accomplish what others can't.

I'm 18 and have been interested in the stock market probably since 6th grade. Opened my first brokerage account at 14 using my dads information.

Wouldn't consider my self a trader but certainly an investor. I buy and hold undervalued companies until the market corrects itself and the stock goes back up to a fair price. I also like growth stocks, but only those that are at a fair value.

WSO is so awesome.

Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into SWANSONS.

This looks like a Russian forum.

not that i am a trader or investor, but when i was a kid going through econ class and wanted to start i picked up books and read.

There is much to be learned from going out and trying out, i certainly wouldnt trade real money for the first two years.

I started when I was 12. Start reading as much as you can, everything by Jack Schwager (Market Wizards interview series, possibly his book on futures), Reminisces of a Stock Operator by Edwin Leferve, Victor Niederhoffer's Education of a Speculator. That would be a good start in getting the psychological framework you need to make decisions as well as the recognition of how abstract your thinking process will need to be.

I thought I had to put hash tags to add new search criteria. I don't use them outside of twitter. I'm not Devin^, who uses them in every other text message.
