Good Paper Trading Account for HY Bonds?

I’m looking to practice trading HY bonds and would like to use a paper trading account as opposed to just manually recording buys and sells in excel. Does anyone have recommendations for software that allows me to trade HY bonds? I noticed that Schwab doesn’t let me.

Based on the WSO content, it's crucial to use a paper trading account that provides a realistic trading environment, especially for complex instruments like high-yield (HY) bonds. While the specific software recommendation for HY bonds isn't directly mentioned in the context, the importance of using an electronic or real money account over manual recording in Excel is emphasized. This is to ensure accuracy and avoid the temptation to alter results.

For practicing HY bond trading, you might consider platforms that are known for comprehensive asset class coverage, including bonds. While I can't specify a particular software from the context provided, platforms like Interactive Brokers or Thinkorswim are generally recognized for their extensive capabilities in various asset classes. It would be beneficial to check if these platforms support HY bond trading in their paper trading functionalities.

Remember, the key is to find a platform that not only allows you to trade HY bonds but also provides realistic market conditions, including spreads, liquidity issues, and price volatility, which are critical factors in the HY market.
