Potential Pivot From Portfolio Valuations to ER?

Hi all!

Currently a first-year analyst in the Portfolio Valuation team for one of the largest HFs/PEs in the world. Have experience working with OPM, Multiples Analysis, Transaction Comps, and DCFs across the TMT and Healthcare space as well as running management calls and internal valuation committee meetings. With that being said, I am looking to change the pace and potentially pivot into a sell-side Equity Research capacity. What are the chances of being able to do this? If material, what steps should I take in accomplishing this? Moreover, I do have buy-side credit/CLO internship experience.

Happy to chat in PMs if that works as well. Thank you all!
